Dear Bub Hub Friends,

As you may be aware finding a cure for cancer is a cause very close to my heart. Two years ago my husband was diagnosed with a Ewings Sarcoma and to this day he is still fighting hard to rid himself of this terrible disease. With his positive thinking as our inspiration Danielle and I decided to run a Girls Night In and after the massive success of the night Danielle and I have decided to take our fund raising to another level and will be running a huge Biggest Morning Tea and hope to run more events during the year in an effort to raise money for cancer research.

We are also in the process of starting up our own Fundraising organisation and hope to work toward raising money for both the Cancer Council and On Trac @ Peter Mac, a group specifically focused on support and research into young adults with cancer. At the moment On Trac @ Peter Mac is focused on people aged 14 – 25. However the original focus was to reach people up to 30 years old but due to a lack of funding this has not yet been possible. Along with helping find a cure and better treatment for Cancer we are also aiming to assist in improving services for young adults up to 30.

In order to get our project off the ground we are going to be designing our own web site advertising all the events we have planned. We plan on running many varying fundraising events over the year and with the help and support of our many friends and family we are sure this will be successful. If we are successful who knows how amazing this could become and how many people we could change the lives of.

At the moment we are looking for help in lots of areas the most important is coming up with Fundraising ideas, so if you have any suggestions please let me know.

We are also looking for help in:

Running events
Attending Events
Donating Money
Donating Products or Services
Running a stall at an event (if you have a product or service to sell)

If you would be interested in helping in any of these areas please let me know. Please feel free to tell your friends and family about our cause so we can reach as many people as possible. As you would know with any type of fundraising the more the merrier and the more the harder we can fight the good fight.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hey there Manxie,

Thank you so much for your support and for sharing your story, I hope your mum is getting there with her treatment.

To make this a huge success we need to come up with a name for our Fundraising group. So I thought why not enlist the help of all my wonderful, creative friends out there for some help.

To give you a bit of an idea our aim is to raise as much money as possible through varying events to donate to The Cancer Council and On Trac @ Peter Mac with the intention of helping find a cure and better treatment for cancer paitients with particular focus on paitients under 30.

So put your minds into overdrive and see what you can come up with the name needs to be short and catchy as it will be used in our web site and marketing material.

Thank you for all your help and good luck.

Please feel free to PM me with anything you would like me to do.

Hi - I am terribly sorry to hear about your husband.

Cancer has touched my family quite heavily with 6 people having been affected.

Although I have exceeded my yearly donation budget, I have recently held a fundraiser and have done some event organisation plus arranged corporate donations as part of my job. I'd be more than happy to assist.

Please PM me with further details.

Again, I am sorry to hear about your hubby and I think what you are doing is amazing.

Dear Friends,

Thank you all again for all your support in helping us start our own fundraising group.

I have some wonderful news, which has been a big step in giving our selves identity in the charity world. We have chosen a name and thank you to all those who made suggestions there were some wonderful ideas out there but we have decided on “HOPE HELPS”. We hope this short catchy name will soon be on the tip of your tongue.

Best wishes and stay healthy.
