Thought it would be cool to share pics of our bumps and scans... With DS I took photos of my bump every 2 weeks and I now have a wonderful record of my growing belly. I plan to do the same this time round.
I'll add my 7 week bump pic soon. just need to arrange a photobucket account or something...

Aw thanks girls! I am tiny - although not as tiny as I was before DS! Its genetic though so I cant take the credit for it. I actually struggle to put on weight - yes one of those annoying people - but its actually a pain. I hate looking so skinny and unhealthy. At least I put on weight in pregnancy and look healthy! With DS I put on 22kg!!!

Hahaha! It doesnt look flabby though, looks like a hard belly bump! I am 7 weeks tomorrow and all I have is flab!! Because I am a size 14 I probably wont show till I am 4 months to get past all the flab! LOL

That would be good if you were having twins. The first set for this month!! :D

Aww - your bump is cute - if you can call it that. I am 7 weeks today and no bump to date - just the usual little lump of fat! I'll post when there is something else to blame it on!

the pics i posted b4 would be roughly at 8 weeks then 9 weeks. im getting scared im gonna be huge. tho everyone says the more kids uve had already the quicker u pop out each time . anyone else heard that too?

Hey girls

Its been 2 weeks since taking my first belly pic... (I'm taking one every 2 weeks for the duration of my pregnancy) So when DH gets home tonight I'll get him to take another one. I think there is going to be a bit of difference. I have been pigging out!
Anyone else going to share?

thanks fluff ball. cant believe how quick ive popped this time. amazing considering im actually losing weight, i asked the dr and the ultrasound lady about it and they both said the more kids u have the quicker u pop out. i already cant do up any of my pants its crazy. the baby s not even that big yet but they say because your body knows what to do it just pushes out quicker to give baby more room. heres me today side on at 11w 1 http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff39/supermumof2/P1010116.jpg

Hi Girls,

Well we went and had our 12 week scan this morning. How amazing. We have a little active baby that would not stay still (much like Dad). After performing a few full somersaults the little one settled to be a good baby to have their photo taken. All is well and all fingers and toes have been accounted for. The baby even managed a wave for Mum and Dad. I just still can't get over how much the baby was moving and how I couldn't feel a single thing (time will change that I know). What an incredible experience. Check out the photos.......

I had my 12wk scan today!!!!!!!!:yelclap:bub was bouncing away.. I had to go the LOO 3times during the scan... thought I was gonna pee myself.. haha my pelvic floors aren't as good as they used to be... :laughing: haha.. so far so good!!
But I never got any photos:thumbsdown:.....??? I did with my DS, we will get a disk sent to the doctors..

Yeah I feel huge sometimes. Doesnt show in the photo though! Very odd! People are actually noticing my bump now!! Eeeek! All happens so much faster second time round!!
I love looking at bump photos! Preggy bellies are just gorgeous!

Yes I think preggie bellies are GORGEOUS! Nobody has noticed mine yet but I have to wear a uniform to work which pretty much covers it up. :(

Fluffball & Noosa, your bumps are sooooo cute!! I cant believe you are showing so early Noosa being your first baby. This is my first baby and I am 11 weeks tomorrow, and I cant really see alot of change, but I had a bit of flab before, so I guess it will take longer to show with me. I might get DP to take a photo of me on the weekend and show you all, but embarrased though.

I am looking forward to seeing everyones pics every week now if we start doing it that way and seeing changes between us. I think I am only 4 days behind the two of you :)

Thanks Mandiii20 - I feel better now. I was seeing everyone else's bumps thinking mine was nothing.

And I am so scared my date will change when I have my scan next week. I've heard of the due date changing after a scan and I don't want to go backwards, especially when so close to 12 weeks! ARGH!

It felt like ages waiting for me, the last few days just dragged. I hope things speed up from here!! One weird thing, is that the scan revealed the twins are different sizes and the technician dated them differently - twin B was 3 gestational days older than twin A, and the due date for it was 3 days earlier.

Anyway, I wondered what would be the reason for them being different in size and looked it up in a twin book. Apparently, you can conceive twins from 2 seperate acts of intercourse in the same cycle - over a couple of days. Sometimes you can ovulate 2 eggs at the same time which are fertilised from a single act of intercourse, and sometimes you can ovulate sequentially and have them both fertilised at different times. In that case, one twin is several days older which is reflected in it's development. It is called superfecundation and is thought to happen in about 1 in 12 cases of non-identical twins, and can even result in twins having 2 different fathers!!

So, I think that the reason for one being 3 days bigger than the other may be that! Well, not two fathers I hope!!!

Nice tum C38. I noticed the belly ring. I have one too. Are you going to get one of those bendy ones, see how you go, or lose it altogether? DH says it's time to lose mine but I don't think so! :shame:

Funny you should mention the bellypiercing. I was just reading about what can happen today. And saw some on ebay that have a plastic type filiment in them that is longer and flatter so keeps the tunnel patent as it stretches and flattens. They had some cute ones with little storks dangling, or signs saying "baby on board". But adangly ones get caught in my clothing at work, so I think I'll invest in a plainer one. But overall I hope to keep it, duno why but I just like it... figure I'll take it out when I'm entering the nursing home..LOL

Hi girls,

Had my scan last Monday and everything looks really good. They did a really thorough scan for me to check everything and they were happy.

I will try and work out this photo thing. And try and post a photo of my 12 week scan. And also of my tummy at 13 weeks.

Hope you are all well, and I love all your beautiful tummies. I am so jealous. Some days I feel big and others I dont. :laughing:

Scan pics at 12 weeks today according to this scan.

Having a bit of a scare with some spotting. But the baby looked happy, rubbing it's face and kicking about. Good hrt rate 163 and the placenta was all there, so hopefuly the spotting will settle and everything wil be fine.

Hey girls!

Well I went for my scan yesterday, NT scan, I had an early scan at 6 weeks also and if I go by dates of early scan yesterday I was 12.1 weeks. However, when I went to get NT scan done, they said baby is measuring 13 weeks. I dont know if you girls remember, but I always thought that I was 13 weeks but they put me a week back.... So they say baby is now due 21 June 2008 not 27 June 2008, so I dont know what date and week to go by...

I have photos on a CD the sonographer gave me but I cant save them! It isnt working! There is no option to save.

Sorry for long post, but what should I do? am I 12.1 or 13.1 weeks along??

Well usually the earlier the scan the more accurate~not sure how true that is.. my two scan dates were only 1 day out..
Then some people go by there AF dates.. as some books I have say I am 18weeks preg but the baby is 16weeks old! confusing I know.. haha... see what the other girls think... either way you can go 2wks each side of your EDD, i am say im 16weeks as that is what the scan says..if you think you are 13weeks you go by that.. do you know when you conceived?

See, some people dont have the early 6 week scan and the only scan they have is the 12 week one....I always thought I was 13 weeks, but that was the date from my LMP...

If your sure of your dates, ie when your period started, then go off them. A scan tech only has to click a fraction offline, esp in the early scan, to make a diff with your dates.
If you are sure of your dates and this ultrasound confirms it, then I'd go with them.

Funnily I am sure of my dates and also sure that I ovulated early, hense am a week ahead of what my dates say. My 6 week scan put me a week earlierthen I thought...then my 12 week..put me back where I know I am. However as I am sure of my dates the Dr is saying he will go off the dates..
In the end its only a week either way. The baby will come when its ready eitherway.

i had similar mandii when i went for an early scan around 8 weeks they put me back 10 days i think it was then, when i had nuchal i thought i was 12 w 1d and she said looks more like 13 w 1 d but she said they always take earliest scan as its most accurate but i cant forget that i might be 1 more week than that lol seems like so many still to go so tomorrow i am either 14 or 15 weeks

Had my scan this morning and bubs is looking good! Everything seems healthy and perfect. Get results in a couple days though.
It was wonderful seeing bubs. Had his/her little hands up by the face. Sat wonderfully still so the sonographer could do her thing. Then flipped over a few times. Legs were crossed. So cute!!

I'll post some pics when I manage to scan them in!!

Forgot to mention... the sonographer changed my due date to 29 June but I'm pretty sure of my dates cos I was charting so know when I ovulated. Not that a few days makes much of a difference but just to show that the scans arent 100% accurate when determining dates!

OK I've been really slack. Here's a shot of my 12 wk ultrasound pic taken last Wed morning. Bubs stayed quite still until towards the end when it appeared to bend it's head down towards it's hand. It was almost as if it was hitting itself in the forehead!

Well I had my first ultrasound today - 12 weeks and 5 days! Little bub didnt stop moving I couldnt believe it. Its so surreal seeing it on the tv screen. And the heartbeat is 158bpm which is healthy.So relieved that all is good!!

LOL thanks guys! Yes I have this thing about wearing the same Knickers for the photos. I did the same when pregnant with DS. Although those were yellow and had a black cat on the side. Towards the end of the pregnancy the cat was well stretched :laughing:
This time I thought I'd go for something nice and bright... bought them specially! :o
I dont mind showing my growing belly and behind as people cant see my face so its all good.

Glad you can see my belly is bigger... I feel HUGE! cant wear any of my normal trousers anymore. And my tops are also stretching cos I have gone up to a C cup from a B - well A really after breastfeeding DS.

Ok waffled enough!

OK here's the best pic from today's morphology scan. Boy, it takes AGES but it's great because you get to see the baby for soooo long. This little one wouldn't roll over for us so I had to jump around a bit.

And where I have been feeling the kicks, high up under my bottom ribs is exactly where the feet were. I could actually SEE it kicking me and FEEL it at the same time! Awesome! Still can't wipe the grin off my face!!!

I didnt really get any good profile shots of Oink! Just some random ones of feet and hands and heart etc. She took of of whats supposed to be the face where you can see the nose and lips or something but I cant make it out.

aaawww Noosa that sounds amazing!!! I still havent been feeling many kicks if at all, so when I go for my scan I wont have the same experience (feeling and seeing kick at same time!).

Fluffball - I agree, a bit freaky looking - the black areas where eyes are (Dont hit me!!) but so adorable!!! Isnt it amazing how much they can pick up in a scan!? Can see so much!!

I expect to cry (AGAIN) when I see my bubba.

No, didn't cry at any scans but thought I would. I couldn't stop smiling up at the screen. DH told me afterwards that he couldn't stop smiling and watching ME as he said I looked SOOO HAPPY. So he spent most of the time watching ME smile at bubs which was really beautiful I think.

PS. I also had some scary alien-like shots of mine. Then it opened it's mouth. I thought it looked like the cookie monster, the way it's mouth opened! Or remember that Reach toothbrush ad where the cartoon character has a flip top mouth?! That's my baby!!! :laughing:

Thanks NoosaMumToBe :D, they're the 'latest' apparently 4D scan pictures. They've also given me an 18 second dvd in the same 4D format of this showing the bub actual moving around so I can show all my friends and family. It's so beautiful - I've been watching it over over all day today.

k8y - those pictures are beautiful. 3D/4D scans are great. I would have got them if they weren't so darn expensive!! The place I was going to go to said it would cost around $500.00. So I opted for the normal scan at $170 *sigh*

WOAH!! $500 thats pricey!!! The 3d/4d scans here at 'Bundles' is like $285 for dvd of everything 2 pages of prints and your own website with all the pics to send the link to people!! But thats like an extra thing you can have done if you want to. Otherwise its just the normal old school 2D at the diagnostic places.:laughing:

Yeah i was thinking maybe im too small!! i still look like i ate too much instead of looking pregnant...well thats how i feel lol.

hhhmmm that's a hard one c38 ... I am going for girl too, we need to even up the ratio for June! I forgot to post the link for my 18wk scan. I was a bit disappointed with the quality of them compared to the 12 week one's, but looking at them again I can make out more of the features, limbs etc. It's really hard though!

You guys aren't seeing any difference? Maybe you are getting used to the bump :) My fundus is measuring higher than it should be for my dates because of the twins - I probably look bigger now than I would normally. On photobucket, can you see more than one photo you have posted to compare with another?

k8y, it's a maternity skirt from kmart and it's fantastic. I virtually live in it. It is bub2b brand, I think I got it on sale.

NoosaMumToBe, it's hard to tell with your 19 week shot because of the dark dress, but I can definitely see a big difference between week 17 and 21 :D

Last two days I feel really stretched and bloated. People at work been remarking on how BIG Ive suddenly become, and how I'm bigger then my workmate who is 4weeks ahead of me....shes tall, skinny and 24!! for goodness sake!!...grrrr!!

My navel piercing is starting to hurt a bit...time to dig out the pregnancy one I brought...just have to find that "safe place I put it in"!!

Thanks Tutti - I can now view the first link but not sure where to go to look at other pics. I did notice there were some women that were getting links to their pregnancy pics on a freako-loser's website. Gross!

Anyway the second link is great and I am checking them all out now. There are so many beautiful pics of pregnant women. It's gorgeous. I had a friend that had glamour shots done about a week before she was due with her first and I always thought that would be nice but with the right equipment and a good assistant, I think you could almost do just as good yourself. Thanks.

hello! :) noosamum2be, that's really sad ... to think of people who are that way inclined. Unfortunately, on the net it happens a lot. I have even had photos of my feet attract foot fetishists :barf:

If we were all members of flickr, we could share photos privately - just with people we had marked as family and friends. It means the photos aren't visible publicly, only to those people who are our contacts.

Also, remember it's not a great idea to post photos of your kids on the net. There has been a lot of problems with weirdo's ... later on, I will be marking all my photos private and only visible to family and friends. They will need to get a free flickr account to see them. I may post a couple public, briefly. But I have seen/heard of too many cases where photos of kids attract the wrong type of attention. It's really sad. If the photos are public on photobucket, then I think anyone can see them? Flickr also has a tag system, which is like keywords you give photos. People can search on tags for photos. So it is best to have them private, or public and not tagged.

Oh I relised that my name was visiable on the first scan pics I posted, so I deleted the links and when I posted the 20 week one, I trimmed the pics so my name was no longer in frame before posting... maybe worth checking. I have noticed some people names are visable.

Tutti I love your photos. Oneday I will get inspired to do some or get a friend to. Am hopefully performing in a belly dance show in May...so am hoping to get some nice shots in costume. Have some from a performance New Years Day...but laugh at them now...I felt so pregnant...hehehe...just have a little podge in them (think was about 14 weeks..lol)

Wow, C38 - HOT little body you HAD there... I say "had" because I don't think it will be around for too much longer! :D You have grown a lot since Dec.

And I have noticed some personal info on scan pics too. I check over all of my pics before posting to make sure nothing personal (like wedding pics or anything) in the background but personal info on scans is big - may even have DOB, etc. I'd crop any that are out there if you can - smart thinking C38. :yelclap:

Man I am soooooo bored.....

DH asked if I would be "interested in a date" tomorrow. First time have been asked out in a while! ;) Anyway we are going out for brekky and I have already decided that I am going to have some hash browns and a double stack of pancakes - YUMMY!

I have just had 2 glasses of banana smoothie. I woke up with a bad leg cramp last night and it's a common occurence so I am going to see if the banana helps... :fingerscrossed:

You guys can just crop your pics in Windows PhotoManager or something similar.

Anyway I got all ready for our brekky date and only ate a SMALL amount of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes this morning and then the car wouldn't start. So DH has had to call the delivery guys from work to come and take him to buy a new battery and come back and install it for him (he is not the handiest of hubbies but I still love him!)... I mean REALLY - I have to put the wiper fluid in!!! :laughing:

So I am sitting here waiting for the new battery and I'm HUNGRY. I don't even think I feel like pancakes anymore as they were for BREAKFAST and it's WAY TOO LATE for brekky now. I feel very ripped off and hungry.

NEVER STUFF WITH A PREGNANT WOMAN'S FOOD! Oh and it's HOT.

For anyone thinking about maternity pants...I just found out that Jeans West now do maternity jeans. I am going to go and have a look and hopefully they'll be nice looking jeans.
I have a pair from previous pregnancy but they are so horrible and i will never wear them. They sit really really high and still fall down all the time and you always have a saggy bum in them.. YUK

thanks for comments on my tum looking compact :laughing: it feels like I've swallowed a watermelon!! Maybe the pics aren't showing how big it really is. The only difference I've noticed is that my bump is a bit higher, it seems to start just below my chest instead of around my belly button. E.g. compared to ingi who is slightly ahead of me. It's probably because they are in a transverse position and one is above the bellybutton and one below it.

It's funny how we are all different shapes but the babies come out pretty much the same!!
