What are you looking forward to for the rest of the pregnancy and after?

1. Getting through labour and delivery - I am so excited!

2. Meeting Ripley and seeing if he really does look like his big brother!

3. Dressing bub up in all the gorgeous clothes we've got.

4. Watching Ds #1 interact with Ds #2, esp as time goes on.

5. Watching the scales hopefully go down instead of up!

6. Being able to do all the things I used to, esp in regards to lifting Ds#1 and playing with him!

Now what aren't you looking forward to?

1. Having to change my routine, even slightly to accomodate a new baby. My Ds is really easy going but we have a good routine working for us so hopefully Ds#2 will be just as good as it will be an easy transition!

2. Establishing breastfeeding but Im going to give it my best shot.

3. Having to try and stay organised with TWO kids.

4. Being away from Ds while Im in hospital for 24-72hrs.

5. The dreaded periods and PMS.

Thanks Cantwait. I am hoping to be able to breast feed so :fingerscrossed: will help me lose the weight before then and stop at about 6 months so can have bub bottle fed on the day. I'm sure there will be no shortage for babysitters fighting to care for him/her. my family are all coming over from England and cant wait for the photos with my gorgeous all dressed up bub being with us.

Feline - breastfeeding definitely helped me to lose weight but you won't have to stop b/f at 6 months if you don't want to. You could just start introducing expressed b/m before the big day so bub is used to the bottle.

I'm not trying to lecture you and I'm sorry if it comes across that way. IMO if baby is healthy, I don't think it matters how baby is fed.

What are you looking forward to for the rest of the pregnancy and after?

1. Spending quality time with DD by ourselves

2. Frequent toilet breaks means less time actually doing work

3. Having a VBAC

Now what aren't you looking forward to?

1. Being woken every few hours - even though it'll be DF's job, I'm a light sleeper again...

2. DD not coping well with the introduction of another little person taking her attention...

3. Going back to work early to prove a point to DF...

3 each for now... I'm tired as, DD's been up for nearly 2 hours and I want to go to bed but DF isn't home yet...

Not knowing what to do - feeling inadequate

Lauren - just put on a confident face and hopefully you'll at least look like you know what you're doing and people will leave you alone. Don't worry about those feelings, I think everybody has them but once bub is born, things just fall into place. And most midwives are great so pick their brains as much as you can.

16-11-2007, 03:28 PM
i am so jealous of you!

where is this mysterious sex drive i am meant to have while i am preggers!

though i think it might be partially to do with feeling so incredibly unattractive at the moment...between putting on 13 kilos, not being able to shave my own legs anymore and the pimples covering my back and tummy (need I go on) I dont really feel very sexy!

The theory is that boys up the anti and girls leave it behind... 2 girls, I can't comment... And I don't have a sex drive when not pregnant...

Maybe some of those with some of each can shed some light if there's a difference???

MissSookyLaLa
16-11-2007, 05:51 PM
well im having a boy so there goes that theory!

tiptoe
16-11-2007, 06:05 PM
This is my 2nd boy and that theory has no bearing for me! I've actually put a ban on it until after the 4-6 week abstinence after bubs is born! I'm getting severe Braxton Hick afterwards, so unless i go overdue and am desperate for a natural induction, poor DH has no hope!

16-11-2007, 06:44 PM
4-6 week abstinence?? How do I get me one of these?? Oh yeah, don't have another c-sec!! I got a 2 week abstinence... :(

The theory is that boys up the anti and girls leave it behind...

When pg with DD I had the most insatiable sex drive, couldn't get enough of it! This time however...I just really can't be arsed LoL

I put out every now and then for DH's sake, because i'm a nice wife :p

But we've just currently had our longest stint ever with no sex...a whole month! Poor DH didn't know what had hit him. Especially as we both normally have really high sex drives, just seems mine as gone MIA this time

Aww Chelle I feel your pain hun, i'm so over this fat whale thing I have going on while trying to roll over in bed LoL
