How Did Cup Day Go For You All?

Hi Girls.... so how did Melbourne Cup Day Go for you all?... i seen some of you where heading out.... Do Tell...

I had planned to maybe go the the Sharks club also.... but look like a lepper!!!........ i got the flu and took couple of tablets on sunday when it started not knowing for sure if flu or allergies... anyway took both Pollaramine (antihistamine) and Sudafed and anyway got some sorta reaction which came out mostly on my face... just my luck... red angry blotchy spotty rash... Yeh..... so I'm looking gorgeous... :hair: and didnt want to be seen in public... then a friend from adelaide called who is in brisbane for a week, so she came down for the day with her 1 yo... so we had a nice day... but only just caught the race, wthout even as much as a $1 bet on and NO wine.......... bit of a dissapointing cup day... but i did catch some of the morning viewing with the fashion bit showing some of the best dresses celebs... which i love..

anyway do tell. love to hear where you ended up and if it was any good for next years sake... maybe we could plan ahead for a big girls day and get all dressed up....

I had a good time there, no luck with the horses.

But I had luck in winning the Best Dressed/Hat category! I couldn't believe it! A tad embarrassed though. I'm not usually into things like that!

I won a beautiful basket full of lovelies.

My hubby was so proud of me. I guess, it was a good feeling.

Oh Taryn, I would have LOVED seeing you there, I hope you do get better soon. Will be thinking of you.

I got 1st and 3rd! Only had $2 each way so only won $50 something but i had a great day. Had a few to many to drink lol, was in bed by 5! No more drinking for me lol. Hope everyone else had a great day

Lost $160 :thumbsdown: , but had a good arvo.

Wasn't going till the last minute so had a whole 20 minutes to get ready :banghead: bloody men, he should know by now beauty takes time (for me anyways :p )
