What to do with my green prawns!???

Struggling with ideas for dinner tonight - I have a kilo of green banana prawns, please help!!

The only way I know how to cook them is by boiling them, how creative, I know.

Garlic, lemon grass and sweet chilli marinated, cooked in the wok or on the BBQ...

Yeah usually I make garlic prawns on a bed of jasmine rice as an entree but want to make something a bit more creative as a main...?

I was thnking wother a stirfry type thing or a pasta type dish... anyone have any great recipes?

Garlic and sesame oil in the wok... maybe some honey... serve with steamed rice and some steamed asian veggies. Yum!

Ooooh for a pasta dish... lightly fry up the prawns, add some napolitana sauce and avocado, and a dash of cream. You can add bacon too. Serve with fettuccine or penne. Tops!

The marinade I mentioned, you can use that in a stirfry too, add baby corn, snow peas, corrot, capsicum, pineapple, and noodles of your choice.

Stirfry the prawns, put them to one side, stir fry the vegies, add a little OJ or the juice from the pineapple to the vegies, then add the noodles, and then the prawns back in and stir through!

Green prawns in a curry, with mango... Dont have a recipe, but you could find a curry recipe and just change a few of the ingredients!!

Cos green prawns work wonders with coconut and mango!

Apparently Seafood will be cheaper this year for the christmas season due to the higher dollar.......

:laughing: Yep I just ran down to woolies to get some meat and they were $14 a kilo so couldnt resist!

By the time I buy meat for 4 people it is usually this or more anyway...

I have no lemon grass but do have all the other things... This poregnant brain is doing my head in I cant make decissions!
