Does anyone have some ideas of how to make it more exciting?
I have 'cooked' it in stock, but it's still quite bland.. so any ideas?

I have cous cous, and love to eat it too, so I will be interested to see what people come up with too..

I usually cook it in stock & make up something like a risotto with lots of vegies etc.

Otherwise for something different & Boof used to love it was letting it soak in apple juice for an hour or so then i would add some other fruit & whizz it so it was smooth for Boof when he was little.

I usually cook it in chicken stock with some lemon zest and some of that Masterfoods Morroccon seasoning added. Sometimes put some fresh coriander in it as well. It goes really well with lamb or bbq'd meat.
YUM! :chef:

Chicken or vegeable stock when I cook it then add some dried mint flakes (or chopped up freshmint) goes well with lamb

I also add cubed baked pumpkin and pinenuts (but this would depend upon the age of your children and allergies etc) as well as the mint and sometimes some cubed fetta. This way is more of yummy side dish.

Ive also had it ccoked in stock, then moroccan seasoning and saltanas added..YUM.

I make a salad with it!
finely dice 1 tomato, 1/2 capsicum and 1/2 red onion.
cook cous cous as per directions on packet (I do 250g cous cous to 230g water)
add some butter to stir thru warm cous cous. Add other chopped ingredients and a touch of lemon juice and some finely chopped parsley

Im addicted to it lately!

You can chop up some dried apricots and sultanas and walnuts to it.

I also make a mixed salad, throw coucous on top of it, pour over a dressing of lemon juic/olive oil and mango chutney and a blob of light sour cream and top off with some scanpanned chicken tenderloins YUM!

I also like the Ainsley whats him name couscous - the moroccan one is divine!

this is pretty boring but if i want the kids to eat it i just add it to their mashed vegies just as I did when they were babies!
