For anyone still umming and aahhing about whether or not to do CC just wanted to add a positive note about our little angel.

DD2 is 5 months old and has always been a good nightitme sleeper but only a day time catnapper. I would feed her to sleep at night and rock her to sleep during the day.

Unfortunately I have to go back to work soon and I know the girls at childcare haven't the time to rock my angel to sleep so I had to go down the CC path to teach her to put herslef to sleep.

It has taken 1 weekend for my angel to catch on!:smiliedance: The first time I tried about a week ago I went in at 2 min, 4 min and 8min but then caved in.... This time I stuck it out for the 5 minute interval then a cuddle and then 10 minutes and that was all it took!! this morning took less than 3 min! and the best part is her 40min catnaps have extended to almost 1.5hrs!! I still feed her to sleep at night because I don't mind doing it, eventually I'm sure things will change but I'll deal with that when it comes...

Just wanted others to know that CC can be quick for some bubs and certainly worth the anguish of even 5 minutes of crying - nobody wants to hear their baby cry but sometimes I think it really is the best thing for them!:)

P.S We did CC for DD1 (now 3) at the same age and she took a little longer about a week I think but never more than 15min crying.... at 3 she still has a 2hr afternoon nap:yelclap:

Sweet dreams to all,

We had quick results with our DD aswell. It only took one night and now she sleeps like an angel
It extended her day sleeps aswell, like you said from 40 mins to 1.5 to 2 hours.

It was hard the first night but now we are all much happier having done it
