I'm cooking up a paella tonight, and this one calls for prawns.
It said to devein and deshell them...which I've done... but also says to leave their heads and tails on.
Tails I'm fine with... but leaving the heads on? I don't really want big long whiskers (or whatever prawn feelers are called) weaving in an out of my rice, with their beady little eyes looking at me.
Anyone think I can just tear their heads off and cook them headless?
