Hi ladies
Just wondering if there are any riggers wives on the forum.
I noticed alot of you have husbands/partners that work on the mines.
My partner works off the coast of WA up near Exmouth, 3 weeks on 3 weeks off. We live in Melbourne.
Currently TTC # 2, but havent had much luck the past 3 months. Hopefully this month we'll have some good news.

hi 'little bec'
my DH isnt a rigger, he works on the moomba gas and oil field in the north-east of SA and south west of QLD. he does 3/3 too. do you like the shifts?
it sucks having him away for so long. he does get to stay home for 6 months of the year tho. and i appreciate the fact that it is so regular, my sister's DF works on an off shore rig out of WA, he goes to work and then sh dosent know how long he is going to be gone for, she gets a phone call on mon nite. saying ill be at the adelaide airport at 6pm tuesday. then when he is home he will get a phone call telling him that he is booked on a flight out the next morning.
i dont know how she does it. i guess it isnt as hard when you dont have kids to work around, but she has work and stuff too that she just drops to go and pick him up. it would drive me batty:banghead:
anyway i got a little off track there, sorry.:o
so... yeah, my dh does 3/3 too and it does make it hard TTC. we are trying for #3 (think blue!!) and have had no luck for several months:bfn:
but i had AF last week and will be on day 7 when he gets home tonight and will be on day 27 when he leaves, so hopfully this will be the month!!!:bfp:
good luck with your TTC :fingerscrossed:
and send me blue thoughts!! i cant handle 3 teenage girls in 15 yrs time  , 2 will be bad enough!

Hey,
My fiance is a rigger. He has been out of work for bout 6 months but hopefully will be starting a new job on the mines after xmas. I think it will be 2on 1off FIFO roster which isnt too bad. I live in Perth, we have two boys ages 4.5 yrs and 4.5months.
We need him to work away for the money at the mo, we are so sick of struggling to make ends meet and rigging is really his only qualification so it would be stupid to work for less down here.
Im worried how i will cope with him away but i think as long as we keep the communication strong and make the most of our time together when he's home we will be fine

Hi ladies!
It's hard getting the timing right isn't it ? I remember how hard it was finding that little window of opportunity when dp was home on our last mission...
Dp is on the Nan Hai which is just off Exmouth.
We live south of perth & I have been hitting these forums big time lately... just getting sooooo bored. 4 years sahm (p/t single mum lol) Though, he is home soon :)
God i'm terribel at personals, forget whos who.. so i apologise!
We also like the $$ at the moment and we also love being home together for more than half of the year. It is just great now, might be different once our boys are older and in school - we will see. Right now we get to go fishing whenever the weather is right, dp can go to playgroup, i get to have my hair done when hes home, catch up with friends for lunches, etc etc.
Dont' think i'd have it any other way (tho as you all probably agree, the evenings are boring...)
Anyhow nap time is over... so i am off. oh, i like to :ecomcity::ecomcity::ecomcity:
**fingers crossed for all TTC!

Hi everyone,
last nite tonite and DH is offf again to work at Telfer for 2 weeks.
Mrs Fieldgun, congrats with the twins ! We have twins ourselves (b/g) just turned 2 last June, and boy have we been launced into the 'terrible 2's period. But in saying we won't change having twins for the world, it's just soooo much fun !
Not sure if you have any kids already, but if you have any queries, fire away or pm me. Also check out the mutiple birth forum.
Well, I'm surte I'll be more online in the upcoming fortnight, but gonna enjoy my last nite now ! :valentine:
