Stages of crawling

Hi

I was wondering what the stages of crawling are?

My bub is almost 5 mths and today she has started shuffling backwards, using her knee's. Also she is up on her knee's alot but only for short periods.

What do you guys think??? Will she crawl early???:eek:

My two rocked back and forth a lot before they started crawling. And they moved their hands without their knees. Think they are all different though. Enjoy the phase where they sit still, once they are crawling everything changes :eek:

My DD started crawling at 6 months she also shuffled backwards before she started crawling, so it sounds lilke it wont be long before your little one is crawling. I cant remember how long it took for her from going backwards to crawling properly though.

Hello- Imy has been shuffling backwards (at amazing speeds:eek: ) for about 8 weeksish- she then progressed to two hands forward and flop onto her belly and is now crawling forwards (quite slowly and with a lot of thought involved :)) so i don't think you have too long left before you need to block the acsess ways!!

tyler will be 6 months on thur,,, she has been shuffling backwards on her belly for about 5 weeks or so,,, today for the frist time she got up on her knees 3 times:smiliedance: on her own,,,, i don't think it will take long bafore she is up and crawling around

Brooke was up on all fours at 5mths .. then rocked back and forth alot for weeks and started crawling at 6.5 mths .. now she IS OFF!!!!!!!!!!! she is fast.

Crawling isn't a milestone though .. apparently lunging is the milestone your after, if they get up on all fours and crawl they are just clever :thumbsup: some babies NEVER crawl they just sit and lunge and sit and lunge and get aroudn that way .. well so the book says ;)
