I get that all the time, at least once or twice a day and I have no idea what causes it.

My DD gets them to,she has had around 6 of them, i hope its not serious as we have just been putting it down to her grandad who passed away when she was 3 months is playing with her when it happens! i need to get an answer then as maybe we were way off track!

My little one used to shudder so bad I thought she was having an attack of some sort - however my Doc imformed me that it was perfectly normal and not worry at all:)
They simply grow out of it and sure enough she did.

i posted a question like this awhile ago, my son his them in his legs and every now and then in his lip. i sopke to the MHCN and she said it is just his nervous system forming and they should go away. so nothing to worry about

Yep - normal.
My youngest DD gets them all the time - at least once a day. DD1 is 3 and gets them fairly often too. I still get it and so does DP! With things like that I am of the mindset that if my body does it involuntarily and it is ok then if her body is doing it involutarily she must be ok too!
thanks for your replies.
makes me feel alot better now.
