Does any one know why they are called hamburgers, cause they don't have ham in them :p

I've heard that it's because they originated in Hamburg, Germany.
Well, not really, I've heard they're kind of Russian, but the Germans flogged the idea, changed it up a little, and created the "Hamburger," although it wasn't made of ham.
ETA - I think they were originally called "Hamburg Steaks," and were eaten by the poorer classes.
Also - your poll doesn't make sense lol. Why are they called Hamburgers isn't a yes or no question... :p

I think SassyMummy is on the right track, Hamburg in Germany... lol, they floogged it off Russia, and the Americans kind of took the idea off them!
