Spoiler - MAY GET GROSS

Just been to the bathroom and found a 20c piece size of egg white mucous in my favourite undies. I have never really been 'up with' the mucous talk (kind of avoided it to be honest!) and I'm now wondering what this means.

Anyone know more than I do? Help appreciated!

Well you would be definitely heading for O anytime soon I would think:) The main thing you really need to watch for now( check each time you go to the loo) is when is goes from the clag like consistency to the verrrrry fine crystal clear incredibly stretchy CM - thats when you know you have O'd or are just about too. You will notice when you wipe that its kind of works a little like mozarella cheese - sorry for that description! lol it will really stretch and this is the most fertile kind of CM that LOVESSS to help sperm swim.

If you watch closely you may find that it will go from being cloudy to crystal clear and then back to cloudy again - usually the really clear CM doesnt last long and thats because it usually comes at the time you are Oing - once O is complete - it will return cloudy again.

Hope that didnt confuse you Ally:)

The best advice I received when ttc was that around ovulation your c.m would be similar consistency to that of egg white (& that you could stretch it between your fingers - sorry TMI I know:eek: , but hey that's what we are talking about!).

The c.m could be like this for a couple of days either side of ovulation, so Ally it definately sounds like O is nearing for you.

There is a great book available through the fertility naturopath we used called "Natural Fertility" and it goes into great length about charting temps, cervical mucuous etc. Their website is www.fertility.com.au and they are in Sydney.

I'd lend you the book Ally, but I have already lent it out and I can't remember who to......

Yep - thats it alright! Really stretchy and I can definitely see the resemblence in stretchiness to melted mozzarella cheese! Its a tad cloudy, not too much and it hasn't been like this for long at all - at least I haven't noticed anything...

One more question - DH and I have been quite intimate the last few days, and the last time was last night. Since then, I have showered once and been to the toilet a few times. What is the possibility that I am mistaking the seemingly fertile cm for a last minute getaway of little boys?

I just saw my husband and warned him that he may be in for a long night! hehehehe....

If you just BD'd in the last couple of hours then its easy to mistake for CM but if it was last night or so then I think you are in the clear:)

If its like mozarella then I would say its CM - semen isnt really that stretchy if you know what I mean? Fertile CM can just stretch forever!

Keep checking it and BD till the cows come home:smiliedance: - watch to see if it goes crystal clear. You are still fertile when cloudy of course but the clear is around the 'moment' of O.

All the best for this month:)

All the best for you too Clucky:) Have you been temping this month at all?

I just realised that I have never let so many people into the private life of my husband and I!!! LOL :p

Just out of curiosity last night I dusted the old generic brand maybe baby - I have never seen anything on it before. I saw a fern! Just one. Then when I did it again I didn't see anything.

I think I O'd yesterday and :fingerscrossed: that we caught the eggie!

Thats great!! I use a ferning tester, I normally get a few on the two days before O, lots of the day of O and a couple for the next two days as well (about 5 days all up)
Make sure you keep up the BDing just in case its pre O ferning.
How exciting:smiliedance:
Let me know if you want me to change your stats on the list.:D

WOOO HOOO ALLY!!!: :smiliedance: Thats the GOLD cm - you are as fertile as you could ever get now!

Keep a watch on it today and see if soon you find it turns cloudy again - might not go cloudy till tomorrow morning but just to show you how to read for those REALLY fertile moments:)

Any BD today would be verrrrrry beneficial.

Hey when you do your maybe baby test - do you make sure the saliva wipe is quite thick - you know more like a droplet? I just remember that i only 'wiped' mine I never got a good reading. I also found that the longer I left it the more prominent the ferns too - strange - but as it dries it just gets more defined.

All the best lovie!:D

I try and do a droplet, but its really hard to get a decent amount of spit without bubbles in it... Any hints or tips?

Valosgirls

I always close my mouth and just let the saliva water and gather on the front of my tongue ( think of sucking a lemon) - does this make sense at all? Its tends to make clear saliva and not spit. Whereas spitting on your finger etc makes it too bubbly IYKWIM:) Once you put the droplet on the microscope just touch any bubbles with your finger and try to 'drag' them out or pop them.

Hope that made sense!! lol

Yep - makes sense. I just tried it while sitting at my desk at work and got a nice little mouthful of bubbleless saliva. Will do that when I get home!

Thank you!:hugs:
