Sorry I had to cut chat short...my computer was playing up :geek::geek::geek::geek::geek:
Had a pretty good day today.
Had a long chat with my boss about my future in the buisness and I she reassured me that they definately want to fit me back into work again.
Went to the gym - i have sorted things out with them and have been going 3 times a week to do weights. My body has been rather sore but i am sure i will get used to it soon.
I payed for a membership today and as i payed they mentioned that it costs $100 dollars a year for unlimted child care at the gym (only open certain hours). So this is definatley good value but i cant help but feel a bit miffed that they didnt tell me about this charge before.
If the weather is OK tomorrow we are going out on morton bay for a picinic with my inlaws.
I also have to get secret santa organised... we are posting them soon arent we?
Hope all the sick mums and bubs get better soon.
Mon - if you are having trouble sleeping as you are worrying could you put a mattress in coens room and sleep closer to him? or put him in the portacot in your room?
Double post alert:
Chat seems to have gone the way of the dodo. I am keen to start it up again - so lets pick one night and an approx time and it might work again. I have a feling a number of people check but if no one is there they go again.
If noone here responds i might open a new thread and throw it open to jan and march mums too....
I certaininly miss our chats and want them back :hissy:
Hey mon now that you got your baloons does your husband get any :shakehands:?
Unfortunately though, what I thought was only going to be a head cold seems to have also moved down to his chest and he is quite rattly in his upper airways and has developed a very distinct barking cough.. almost croup-like. This is probably the sickest he's been in his short nine months... so I'll be keeping a close eye on him.
Well, because of K being sick, it is a very low key day here today. Might do some housework and do a bit of a spring clean on our cupboards. My parents are coming down tomorrow to stay the weekend... they're going to look after K on Saturday night so that DF and I can spend a night in the city (going to see Phantom of the Opera). I only pray now that we don't get what K has got because everytime that Kaelan has come down with a cold, DF and I have always got it a couple of days later. It is my first weekend off work since Mother's Day back in May... so I do not want to spend in sick in bed... that would really suck !!
I hope that K isn't developing croup. Jake is a cronic croup sufferer, to the point that we have the preventative meds in the house just in case. Touch wood he has hasn't had an attack for a while.
How is he now? How are you?
So... is DH going to start Jack on some intensive High Five training tomorrow??!
We had a lovely day today. Thanks for having us Lauren. Liam woke up when I took him out of the car, but he's had a cry for about 10 minutes in his cot and all is quiet now. Will check in a minute to make sure he is all fine and dandy.
Lauren. I'm an idiot. I had your camera case and bottle lid in my bag to give you and I completely forgot. I'm such a doofus.
Hope all the sick bubs are feeling better soon. And I hope all the mummies of sick bubs are hanging in there too.
It's our 4th wedding anniversary today. Haven't actually seen DH yet today... he left for work before I got up!
Happy anniversary Mon.

 everyone...
First off Happy Anniversary Mon!! hope you had a good one!! hehe Valentine
oh oh Santa photos- We are having ours done next week, well not really next week but the week after that i think...
Kay- we got the circus animal train too :smiliedance: hehe how cool is it, i only got it cause i liked it i think Riley will but, he has one of the peeka blocks ones and he loves that one!! he lovvveeess noisy stuff!!
Yes....he was asleep by 6.15pm. He's been up at 5.30 most mornings this week. It's like he's on speed lately..maybe he ate some bindeez :shame:
Riley does this most nights but this week has been the total oppisite, he goes to bed by 6.30, 7 and sleeps till 7, 8 and has a bottle and straight to sleep again!! its great! but today he has decided he wants to hop up and he is playing with the remote and the volume button making it go up and down lol
Us- As for us, Riley has taken 8 steps all by himself, and even though i was hugely excited when he did it i am no longer, he just doesn't seem interested in doing it alone its like he is scared once he walks ill never do anything for him again, he always feels around behind him when he is standing to make sure I'm there and if I'm not he sits down, unless he is watching the t.v and he is distracted he will stand by himself till what he is watching finishes, i just don't know why he doesn't want to walk!!
And, Riley can get himself up onto the lounge chair now, its so cute and funny to watch!
And, lol i came into the computer room yesterday to see something hubby wanted to show me and i could see Riley from where i was, he was standing next to the walker pressing the buttons on it and i looked down for not even 2 seconds and looked up at him, just in time to see him pull himself into the walker he looked at me like ohmigod mum what did i do? lol i was in so much shock i wanted to take a photo but hubby wouldn't let me Riley wasn't hurt or anything he was just so eager to get in.. until we put him in...
any way i should run before my remote is broken, Riley has realized he can throw now and has started throwing everything i think i just herd the remote!! back laters girls, have a great day!!!

Oh and i forgot, Juzz, did you ever get around to sending that thing off??
Sorry been slightly distracted with my own health problems the last week or 2
It actually worked well having just the two bubs. Liam is going through a strange "don't touch me" phase with other babies. Jack tried it, and the result was screams all around. Was great to catch up properly with Lauren too. The big meets seem to be over too quickly and I never feel like I've spoken to anyone properly.
:iagree: (I just wanted to use this smiley)
Double post alert:
Chat seems to have gone the way of the dodo.
There was a few in last night but I think something happened when we set up the private room.....I made a room but couldn't get into it. Penny made a room at the same time :D:laughing: My puter was having issues last night...or should I say the Live Chat was. I agree on making a a definate time. Shazza will you organise it?
Us - I have a FERAL child. Last night he was up at 9,11,2.30,4 and 5.50. I'm stuffed. I don't know what's wrong. He's developed an aversion to sleep. He has dark circles under his eyes this morning. We are matching.
How long does seperation anxiety last for? Maybe that's it?
Sorry been slightly distracted with my own health problems the last week or 2
What's up Juzz? You mentioned taking antibiotics....have you had the flu?
I have a cyst on my left shoulder that i need to get cut out in a week or two. It is horribly inflamed and infected and very very painful. To the point that i cant use my left arm very well. I am having trouble sleeping on that side and cant carry Cassidy on that side or anything.
I have been taking antibiotics for a week and they have done nothing! It has slowly been getting worse and more painful all week.
The antibiotics have also killed all the probiotics in my body and as a result i have thrush :hissy::(:crying:
i also went to the dentist yesterday and i have to think about getting all of my wisdom teeth removed as they arent playing friendly with the other teeth.
To top it all off DP is going to Sydney on Sunday and im going to be here by myself for a few weeks. :crying:
Oh no :hugs::hugs: for you!
What has the doc said...Maybe you could try some other anti-biotics? Hope it feels better soon. Yakult is really good for getting the bod back into balance too.
I hear you on being home alone. It sucks. Could you go and stay with your mum for a few day's? I went out everyday when DH was away. I found the nights were the worst. Hopefully the time will go quickly
Im ringing the Doctor this morning, they open in 15 minutes.... LOL
I am then going to get some yakult and going to the chemist.
Sorry for the TMI guys but i needed to vent...
Sorry for the TMI guys but i needed to vent...
That's what were here for :hugs:
My little feral is finally asleep....I'm going to drag myself to the shower

Hey vent away!! we like hearing vents!! maybe we can make you feel better in some way??
Well i just rang them and they are trying to fit me in today to get it removed. If not today it will be Monday. I will have to take Cassidy in with me so i am going to try and put her down for a sleep this morning so she can cope this afternoon.
I also have to do a strip wash on all my nappies as Cassidy has bad nappy rash thanks to her doing 4 poops every day for the last few days. So i am off to the supermarket to buy sposies for the first time in months!!
:hissy::crying::(:hissy: Jack slept for 15 minutes.....It's going to be a long day!!
Mon - KMart have those kids couches on sale this week - $29.95. They have a blue pirate one and one with jungle animals on it which was pretty cute...I might get one too

Happy Anniversary Mon (for yesterday obviously!!). I know what you mean about the meets being busy - I never feel like I get to talk properly to anyone as they're pretty chaotic.
Oh no! Poor you Lauren - that's awful. To answer your question - I was reading this morning and separation anxiety lasts until 18 months so I hope that's not what this is otherwise you're in for a rough 9 months chick!
:hugs: Juzz - good luck with having the cyst removed. I had one on my neck when we first moved here - it was just awful - I ended up in The Alfred Hospital on Morphine and had to have it cut out under a General Anaesthetic. they had no beds so I spent 45 hours on a trolley in the plaster room  It was then that we decided to get private health cover with all the trimmings!!:D Anyway, I'm sure yours won't be anything like that. If I were you I'd skip the yakult and get some heavy duty Inner Health Plus tablets from the pharmacy.
:yelclap: for Riley and his walking. I'm not hanging out for that in any way shape or form - scary!
Hope Kaelan and Coen are feeling much better today.
We haven't decided on a santa photo yet. I sort of think it's real tacky (sorry guys) and it's not a big thing in the UK, but I also know I'll regret it if I don't get one done, so I'll probably embrace the tacky and go for it!! After all when it comes to Chrissie more is more..
On the chat thing - I usually forget about it to be honest. I enjoy it but it takes up so much time I think I'd only pop in from time to time, not on a weekly basis - maybe every fortnight or something.
It seems Miss E is cutting one of her bottom 'eye teeth', you know the 'sharp pointy' ones. Someone told me they're quite painful so I guess it may explain her bad mood.
Sorry for long post I seem to have verbal diarrhoea today!
Good morning gals!!!
Coen slept through the night last night :smiliedance: he took ages to settle - kept waking up coughing... but fortunatley we got that over and done with by 9pm and he slept through - and so did l.... well once l actually fell asleep - which unfortunatley wasn't until after 1am... l think my body has gotten used to just laying there... thinking
Had a long chat with my boss about my future in the buisness and I she reassured me that they definately want to fit me back into work again.
Mon - if you are having trouble sleeping as you are worrying could you put a mattress in coens room and sleep closer to him? or put him in the portacot in your room? That's great news Sharon!!! - oh l think you meant me.... l thought about that... but l tried to get him to have a nap with me yesterday - and it was a nightmare - he ended up screaming... and the only thing l could do to settle him was to breastfeed him... God l hope this illness isn't going to set us back with his sleeps... but l have a very strong feeling that it already has... isn't it crazy... we've been sleeping well for months and months and months and a couple of days of illness and its back to square one!
y of the dodo. I am keen to start it up again - soDouble post alert:
Chat seems to have gone the wa lets pick one night and an approx time and it might work again. I have a feling a number of people check but if no one is there they go again.
Yeah lets pick a day and get it going again... how do you feel about say 8.30 EST time on a Thursday??? I won't commit to making it every single week - but like Hannah, probably every second week of so.
Mon - happy anniversary for yesterday!
Juzzy - oh l had no idea cysts could be terrible... :hugs: to you and l hope you are on the mend very very soon...
Us - Darrin has taken the day off work to help out today... it was my fourth night last night of very sh!tty sleep - I have a cold (slight cough) and just feel exhausted... Mum was going to come round but she doesn't she has this thing about leave around 2 "to beat the traffic" (l swear l hate those words) - and l find it impossible to nap before then (god l sound precious don't l)...
I think l am going to try and vote today... get it over and done with so that we don't have to take Coen out tomorrow...

Juz - If you have to get the cyst removed on monday, do you want me to come with you so I can watch Cassi whilst you have the surgery? Let me know ok?
Its ok Hels i went this afternoon and took her with me. Thanks for the offer though. She was fairly good, happy to sit in the pram and have all the nurses entertain her. She got a bit cranky at the end but i guess thats to be expected.
My ******* shoulder is killing me now though and i have no idea when DP is going to be home. All i know he is in the city doing some work for Jetstar.
I have to go back tomorrow and get the dressing changed and then possibly go back on Monday. Cant really do much. I can see lifting Cassidy could turn into an issue. So she is missing her afternoon nap and DP can put her to bed tonight.

Hey mon now that you got your baloons does your husband get any :shakehands:?
Bwah ha ha ha ha! I'm glad someone else used my "special cuddles" smiley!
Juz - Hope your shoulder heals up quickly. I've had plenty of cysts but haven't had any removed. I have a few cyst stories, including the mysterious vanishing cyst earlier this year, but I think we can chat about that in person.
Hope all the sick bubs are getting better even more. Sandy - sounds like things are improving in your house.
Lauren - sorry to hear that Jack doesn't want to sleep. I hope it isn't because Liam hi-jacked his cot yesterday.
I'm at my parents' place atm. Gotta run and help do soething, but will probably be back for more later.
REgular chat night sounds good, although I'm increasingly finding it difficult to sit down at night. Too busy catching up on housework that Liam won't let me do during the day.
LAter!
Hope DP gives you a hand whilst he is still in town Juzzy, make sure you take care of yourself - you can't afford for it to get infected or something! :hugs:
Mon - I am never going to be able to look at :shakehands: the same way - l will always think of... well you know what... mind you l think Valentine is supposed to be ... you know what...
DH stayed home to look after us today.. thank God - l don't know how l would have coped... l went for a lie down at 1pm and didn't wake up until 3 and only then cos Darrin came in to wake me... and l would have ignored him too but Coen started climbing all over me looking for my boob!
Went and voted today... l couldn't abide waiting in a long queue tomorrow - not with Coen and l sick... l'm so glad that we got it over and done with!
DH is exhausted... he pretty much looked after Coen by himself all day... just before dinner l heard him say to Coen ... now l know how your mum feels (multiply it by about 250 days and then you might know...)... just kidding... both Coen and DH were very very nice to me today...
I'm going to go have a cup of tea and a chocolate muffin now... have a good weekend gals!

Hi mummas
Juz - ouch, hope your shoulder heals up quickly :hugs:
**** day (again). I woke up at 3:40 am with a headache which progressively got worse and worse til about 6:30am when I was playing with Connor and nearly passed out. DH had to look after Connor for me - had the migraine to end all migraines. haven't had a really bad one since before I was preggers. Poor Dh had to sit with his laptop on his lap and work and take phone calls and was still in his PJ's by 11:30am. He missed a meeting with a client too because he was so disrtacted by having to play dad he actually forgot about it - which is totally not like him at all (he's not happy about it either) ended up Dh called my mum and she arrived just after lunch to take over with Connor and bring me some of my dad's medication (we take the same stuff I just never seem to have my perscription filled when I need it) and so dh could actually get some work done. Feeling better now. My mum has been so awesome this week, she had Connor the other day for me and then just dropped everything to drive up here today & she lives nearly and hour and a half away!
Quiet night for me tonight. Chicken parmy's for tea - YUM - guaranteed to make me feel better!
Excited about the election tomorrow!!! I know how sad that sounds but truly I am excited and nervous... Don't forget to vote girls!!
Ok i dont think i have been missed..but trying to skim throught he posts after 8 days is near impossible.
We head home tomorrow with the wind behind us. The purpose of the visit home (our old territory) was to fight our x employee in court. It went in our favour and suffice to say Dh and i celebrated last night with the aid of babysitters.
The trip has been good despite us all getting crook thanx to Pa and Elly has had conjunctivitis, an ear infection and a wicked cough that the heaviest smoker would be proud of!!
Ok so much to think of but the most important is SS. I don't think i have missed the boat. Sending date is still Nov 30th, is that right?

Glad you managed to get some rest. You obviously needed it if DH had to wake you. I remember when I had gastro a little while ago, my DH had to do everything and organise everything because I couldn't get out of bed.
I should have voted today, now need to find the time with 3 kids.
Now your DH knows just how you feel. It's great that he was able to give you a hand today. I hope that Coen is on the mend.

Kim - WOW! That's amazing that he is crawling! Great vid, although it made me feel a little dizzy with the camera angles. :)
Have been out all day and night for the last three days and I'm exhausted... I'm hoping Liam is too. At least we are home early enough tonight to give Liam a bath and put him into bed.
Liam's latest foods that he loves are strawberries (all into the mouth at once) and watermelon (take big bites from Mum's piece). Glad he loves his fruit.
Anyone else finding typing on bubhub difficult lately? It's like the text on the screen lags behind the actual time that I'm typing it... if that makes sense. Quite annoying. Had major issues in the live chat on Thursday night too. Grrr...

Kim - WOW! That's amazing that he is crawling! Great vid, although it made me feel a little dizzy with the camera angles. :)
dont you mean walking lol
sorry about the different angles i thought id be able to turn the vid around but nope, ill get a better one tomorrow!!
kim i think its fantastic! :yelclap: he looks so happy with himself too! my friends little boy claps at himself trying it! Its so cute to watch him and everytime i see him hes more game than the last!
brissy sharon- ill be in on it. Prize for the last to crawl! i have a human broom belly slider or a hands and knew rocker! what shall the prize be?
im in no hurry fo eli to walk, i think dp knows id damage his baby making goods if he tried holding him up for a little walkie! ah ah. when he picks up after the three we've got il let him 'help' the next one up to the next level of destruction! yep im happy the human vacuum being on floor level for now.
well we got the santa pic done and eli was all smiles. We went to the big party welcoming santa to the centre and eli got up close with him there and didnt mind a bit. i did that old trick of going towards santa with his back to him and then sitting him down and moving out the way for the photo but eli didnt care at all. dd wasnt too keen and i didnt know why til afterwards when she said he was all sweaty and she was pegged in beside him and could feel the sweat in his arm and see it dripping down his face :barf: eeew and we were first in. we'd left the party to line up so we didnt have to wait with heaps of hyper kids.
ds 5 had a little chat to santa within ear shot of me...
"santa i weally know that boy on the puter needs the pig but i would weally like a motacontola car....please"
that = " mummy and daddy have got me a pig through care australia for me to learn to give at Christmas time. They showed me the website where i saw a little african boy about my age. I understand this is a wonderful thing but id really like a remote control car for Christmas please"
:hugs: he will be a happy little boy on Christmas morning...we have one very cool "the simpsons" motacontola car for him!

Kay - I wouldn't worry about me looking for spelling mistakes. I can't even get my words right lately.
Kim - Yes, of course I meant walking, not crawling!
Liam's few big days caught up with him tonight. He was so over-tired and wouldn't sleep. Screamed for ages, even if I picked him up. He's asleep now though, hopefully until morning.
Hi everyone,
Kim, Yay for Riley. You won't know yourself now.
Mon, Glad Liam is asleep.
Kay, Glad Eli was okay on Santa's knee and I'm sure you'll have a very happy boy on christmas morning.
As for us, well we've had a big week, hoping that all is settling.
I'm going to work on Ben and Matthew's 1st birthday invitations. I can't believe it's in under a month. I have hit the panic buttons. It has come up so fast. Where has the year gone? And I have a newsletter to publish. Got a busy few nights ahead. I will check in though. I'm totally addicted to chatting with you girls.
Speak to you all tommorrow.
hi everyone
ive decided to do a bag for my mother. i got myself a stitchery book and lucky me it had a pattern for a bag!
rather that the large embroidery pocket front i will have the photo square there....
im thinking for the back i will use the tree that also came with this book but rather that the wording it has i want to put something about grandchildren.
it's a tree like a family tree, with little hearts on some branches. anyone know anything short and sweet to put there?
im hoping the "look what my child made me" line is still in use when your 30odd. my mother wins prizes for this kind of stuff!
so any ideas please?
dp is taking the dog to training this morning so i can have that two hours "free" to start. oh how funny is that. not having the dog and him makes it "free time" ...wonder what he thinks having no kids is? a holiday? .....dreaming?

Mummybunny - how cool is Riley! Walking already :smiliedance:
My_lot - hilarious that your DP thinks it's a "break" when he goes to training with the dog.
Squiggles - hope you're feeling better. I've had a bad headache/neckache the last few days so I sort of know what you have been feeling.
Juz - Good luck with getting the cyst removed. Not nice.
Just a quick one from me. I'm about to take the dog to training myself . Will give DH a break ha ha!
Liam was a disaster yesterday. Didn't sleep at all before his swim class which starts at 10:30. Slept for 15 minutes in the pram then refused to sleep for the rest of the day.....I was :hissy:. He went down at 7pm and luckily slept through until 2am when he woke up and needed reasurrence. I totally believe in this separation anxiety thing. Liam is like this a lot nowadays.
Have a great rest of the weekend. I'm pretty happy that Kevin Rudd is our new PM :yelclap:
Congrats to Riley! Clever little man :yelclap:
Jack's still not sleeping more than 30 mintues during the day. It's conincided with his standing in the cot. No idea what to do. He's not feeding well because he's so tired. He has dark circles as well. I hope it's a passing phase.
On the up side he's cruising the coffee table and crawling on all fours full time now.
Hope everyone's having a good weeknd

Not sure exactly what kind of vibe you're after, but here are a few I found...
“You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.”
- Desmond Tutu
“To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there.”
- Barbara Bush
"In time of test, family is best.”
- Burmese Proverb
“The family is one of nature's masterpieces.”
- George Santayana, The Life of Reason
"A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on."

Hi everyone,
Just wanting to know if anyone has any suggestions... I am at a loss of what to do with connor at the moment. I am just hating every second of the day with him (can PND start this late??) He is not sleeping at night and for the last week and a half has been up every night on average 3 or 4 times. Last night I was up 6 times!! I am absolutley exhausted. DH doesn't even hear him, I ended up screaming at DH to get up at 2:30 this morning cos I couldn't hack it anymore. He is also screaming and not sleeping through the day.
Last night I tried panadol, hylands tabs, bonjella, a bottle, cuddles, sips of water, rubbing his tummy, giving zantac, covering him up, uncovering him - what am I doing wrong?? I'm thinking I should take him to the doctor and see if there is anything wrong. I think because I am averaging about 4 hours sleep per night I am also finding him hard to deal with because I am so overtired.
Any suggestions???
Sorry just needed to get it out. Dh doesn't understand.

i so know how this all feels, ive been there, and my god it drains the **** out of you and you hate yourself for not wanting to be around your own child, but trust me when i say your not alone!! i still have these days..
PND can start at any point as far as i know but i think you will find that a good night sleep might help you not feel so much anger towards conner! maybe hubby can watch him for a few hours while you sleep??
there could be so many things it could be, and if he is up and down at night he could have a mix of things, he could be hungry, teething, hot, cold, missing mummy, anything!
when you put him to sleep how do you do it? do you rock him?
i can pm you or you pm me if you like..
i know how hard it is! and if you do take him to the doctor make sure they test your for pnd or even just plain depression!
please let me know how you go
Jen - BIG :hugs: I'm not sure what to suggest as Jack's pretty much doing the same thing. He's not up as often at night (maybe 2-3 times) but his behaviour during the day is horrible. DH is currently lying down with him in the hope he will have a sleep but I can hear Jack screaming his lungs out
I'd take him to the doctor just to rule out anything medical. Has he had any new foods that could be upsetting his reflux? Any sign of new teeth? Jack's upper teething have been particularly bad
Let us know how you go. I hope you can get some sleep. I think a good nights sleep can work wonders
Kim - Yay for Riley !!! How exciting !!
Jen - :hugs: Hope you have a better day/night with Connor and can get some sleep yourself.
 to everybody else.
Well, we've had a lovely weekend. My parents came down from Wodonga and looked after Kaelan for the night while DF and I went into the city. We went and saw the production of the "Phantom of the Opera" at the Princess Theatre which was great (I missed it when it originally played in Melbourne). Later in the evening we went up the new Eureka tower to the 88th floor. I didn't dare go on The Edge (http://www.eurekaskydeck.com.au/the-edge.asp) though because I have a chronic fear of heights and probably would have had a cardiac arrest... just being up on the 88th floor was bad enough for me. We then had dinner at a restaurant on Southbank and finished the night with a walk around Crown Casino.
We had a voucher for a free night and breakfast at the Marriott hotel, so we didn't come home until 2pm today. It means that we were away from Kaelan for over a day.. and it was amazing just how quickly DF and I reverted back to our 'couple mode'.. it felt very comfortable... though I will admit that there was always this feeling that something was 'missing'. I was very excited when I got home and saw K today, because despite our fun without having a baby around, I still missed him heaps.
We also got some good news yesterday, but more about that later :)
lol hmmm
*waits patiently to hear Pens good news*
are you pregnant? ;)

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone. DH seems to think connor is playing up because I am stressed and the house is in caos with our packing for the move. I think this could be part of the reason and maybe teeth making it worse. He has been OK today, currently annoying my poor dogs by crawling after them on the floor and hitting them - they are just rying to lie on the cool floor and escape the heat. Pretty funny seeing a 50kg German Shepherd lie there and get smaked in the face by a 10kg little rug rat - and he just takes it, my dogs are pretty tolerant of Connor the bully!
Managed to get an hours sleep this morning Dh took Connor which was good then we went out for Pizza and Beer for lunch and am now stuffing my face with lindt choccy's (AKA happiness in a box)
Penny sounds like a great night. Well deserved break... dying to hear your news!!!

You'll need to update your sig now!
Congrats Penny!!! OMG how exciting!!
i guessed from another post lol...
Thanks guys !!
Lauren - Funnily enough I actually had mild all-day nausea 7-9 days post ovulation (which is probably a bit early). It went away for a couple of days... and has returned very mildly from yesterday onwards. I'm also peeing like a trooper.. and the fact that I've had to get up overnight to pee for the last 4 nights made me suspicious.
I tested yesterday morning (12DPO) with FMU and got a feint BFP... and then this afternoon after having fluids to drink, I got another feint BFP. I'll test properly again with FMU in the morning (hopefully the line might be a bit darker). And with tomorrow being 14DPO, the result tomorrow will be a little more "official"... let's hope it's still positive !!
I should also add - for those of you who have me on Facebook... please don't mention my BFP on there... because nobody outside Bubhub will know about this pregnancy until we have a confirmend heartbeat on ultrasound.
Cheers :)
:cloud9:
That's great Penny! You and Tony are certainly fertile :D

Disaster cooking night tonight, with Liam screaming in his cot as the background accompaniment. Nice.
I'm Baaaaaaaack!!!
Fantastic news for you, DH and Kealen Penny. Keep well, and I look forward to following your progress.
Man so much to cover since we have been away. Not really sure where to start.
Might have a think and come back...
Elly is not happy in bed.
Congratulations Penny and best of luck that everything goes right for you!
And welcome back blubber! did you notice all the new smileys?
Things i have learnt, discovered, realised in the past 10 days.
MIL's suck, why does mine exclude me from any conversation that warrnants more than the time of day.
My Elly is at that age where she isn't a bub but a child you have to try and comprimise with.
Teething SUCKS
Kids LOVE being home and I love seeing them happy as a Pig in sh*t:p
JEN: I think we need to meet, the more you mention having a beer the more I feel like I am talking to myself.
Sharon: Lily seems to be following the pattern that Mia did and hopefully Elly will slip back into now we are home. Not regimented but it just seems to work. Mia is STILL a creature of habit. Adaptable but loves her familiar comforts.
Ok this post has officially taken me about 2 hours.
No chance to catch up on all but i will quote myself and see if i get a response.
Do we send SS on the 30th?...just need an answer.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time with Connor. PND can actually occur up till 18 months after birth. It's awful if you have it and sometimes really hard to get out of that rut you think you're in. I had PND with Jake and got it worse with Ben and Matthew. Eventhough it's being treated, there are days that nothing works.
B and M have reflux and I notice when their reflux plays up that they are extremely unsettled. I up the meds and after a day or two they seem to settle down again.
Also you should try and get some rest, I know it's hard but that's what has helped me through my PND.
I've been tossing up all day whether to post this or not... but I guess everyone will find out soon enough.

That's great about Liams tearduct.
Just a couple of things for those of you who are struggling with sleep. Some kids don't sleep well during the day or night. Jake went through a phase around this age as well. What it actually was, was that I was never home for structured sleep time. I ended staying home for only a couple of weeks and got him into a good pattern, then it was easy to move around him and sleeping.
I hope that you all have a better night of sleep.
Hi girls..
This is the fourth or fifth morning that I have woken up at the crack of dawn because I can't sleep... Grrr :banghead:
I think I'm starting to stress. I did another HPT this morning and that second line is still really light (it's so light, it doesn't even show up in a photo). I *think* that it is slightly darker than yesterday... but if it is then it is minimal.
I still have my HPT's from when I got pregnant with Kaelan (yes, I know.. ewwww) and even though they were done on 15 DPO (I'm currently 14 DPO)... they are WAY darker than my HPT now.
On the plus side, my temps are still up and I woke up feeling a bit queasy... so that's got to be a good sign... right?? right?? (looking for reassurance here *LOL*).
Oh well, if it's meant to be... then it's meant to be :fingerscrossed:
Thanks for the sleep tips. I'm positive it's related to his obsession with standing up. I tried toys in the cot and he never played with them. I watched him the other night and he stands up when he's almost fully asleep.
Anyway I'm going back to being stricter with his sleeps. He will stay in the cot for 1.5 hours regardless of whether he sleeps or not (as long as he's tired) See if that helps
Penny - Try not to worry darl. My HPT never got darker (and I did about 10!) If your really concerned maybe you could get a BT to check your Hcg levels. All your symptoms are great signs
Marianne - Welcome Back  I hear you on the MIL issue
Mon - Happy 10 months Liam! Great news about his eye too.

Yay for Riley walking! Again, I'm so not ready for that stage!
Welcome back Blubber - it's good to have you back.
Happy 10 months to Liam and a big fingers crossed for his eye!
Jen - sorry to hear you're having a bad time at the moment. I had what i thought was PND but I'm now sure it was sleep deprivation - I don't take my meds any more and I feel great. For 7 months I was awake 4 times a night and it took its toll. I'm not saying you shouldn't consider PND but sleep deprivation is definitely a form of torture. I don't have any helpful advice about the sleeping - I've just been lucky to have a bub who isn't a terrible sleeper (once she turned 7 months). Hope you feel better soon.
Hope you all had good weekends - can't be bothered to talk about myself...it's all good, just boring for everyone else :D < that smiley now looks like it should be the embarrassed one.

Penny - That is very exciting news! I'm sure you must be pregnant.....I didn't think you even got a faint line if you weren't?? :yelclap:
Squiggles - I agree with Hannah that PND can actually be the signs of sleep deprivation. I also think that total frustration when your child won't sleep, is unsettled etc can make you have all of those feelings and symptoms of PND. I have some horrible days when I get absolutely no time to myself and feel really resentful towards Liam, so I know what you mean. Great news that last night went well though........yes, it's amazing what a good night's sleep will do
Mon - Happy 10 months to Liam! I really hope his tear duct has cleared up.
Sharon - I hear you on the structured sleep thing. I definitely notice as soon as I stuff up some of Liam's sleeps it throws everything out of wack and he doesn't sleep well for the next few days.
Not much to report on here. Having a day at home today. Liam's just woken up after 40 minutes so might try and resettle him. I haven't got my secret santa pressie yet, so will do that this week too.........want to bake my Chrissy cake soon (I use a lot of brandy).
I was thinking back to this time last year leading up to Christmas and feeling really nostalgic remembering everyone on bubhub talking about their pregnancies.......it seems like yesterday.....where has the last year gone??

I'll be back later...
CONGRATULATIONS PENNY!!!!! Oh my god, how exciting!!!! Oh l can't wait to see you grow -- l think l am actually jealous.... I was just thinking - as Coen turns 9 months today... can you believe they were in our tummies for 9 months (as long as they have been alive now???) what an exciting journey you have ahead of you!
:yelclap: Riley walking - and all those photos were just gorgeous - especially the professional ones, loved the ones with the cap.
Oh my goodnes, l can't believe the 1st of the Feb bubs are turning 1!!! Sharon - what are you doing for their birthdays?
Lauren - ever since Coen has been sick he has only been sleeping for 30 minutes at a time as well... except right now... one hour so far... thank god.... to go from 2 x 90 minutes sleeps + 1 x 45 minute sleep to 3 x 30 minute sleeps where he takes ages to self settle was a bloody nightmare! Has Jack gotten any better?
It sounds like a few of us are having sleeping issues at the moment - do you think it is coinciding with their getting to their feet... you know another developmental milestone?
Mon - Liam's tear duct still clear??? If so that is fantastic... it seems you just have to make an appointment for surgery and your problems will go away.... the cyst... the blocked tear duct.
(BTW - Happy birthday for yesterday Liam (both Liams)
Happy 10 months Reece! & 9 months to Elly & Coen!
Jen - no need to apologise (remember we outlawed apologising) ... this is what we are here for... glad that you had a better night last night!
I thought l would break up the post...
Well it looks like Coen is about to wake up.... but hey - he has been asleep for about 80 minutes... he woke once gurgled awhile and then fell back asleep... and it sounds like he might be doing the same again!!! YEAH!! Maybe l have my little man back!
He is definitely doing a lot better now... I was really sick over the weekend but l think l am starting to come good too...
How is Kaelan doing Penny? Eli, Kay?
I hope Liam resettled Jo.
Coen has officially resettled himself again...
Since nobody else is talking here today l am just going to talk to myself.... Coen has just woken up from a 2hr40 minute nap.... we're back baby

Quick one from me, DH is home and I want to handover Liam to him :shame:. Liam is currently crawling after his daddy now that he's home.
Sandy - great news that Coen is sleeping a lot better & is getting better.
I'm going into work tomorrow for a visit. Can't wait to catch up with everyone but not keen on actually returning to work
Liam has gotten into this habit of throwing everything off the table of his highchair when I'm feeding him. Grabs the water bottle and chucks it over the side, food bowl......I have to be quick and keep stuff off the table otherwise it ends up on the floor. Liam has gotten into this habit of throwing everything off the table of his highchair when I'm feeding him. Grabs the water bottle and chucks it over the side, food bowl......I have to be quick and keep stuff off the table otherwise it ends up on the floor. He thinks it's a game and laughs.....loves to watch me pick everything up :hair:
You're lucky he has only recently been doing this. My Liam has been "playing" this game for months! I make sure that I put his bowl and cup on a different table so he can't reach when I don't want to play his game.
Penny - Whatever happens, happens, so try not to stress yourself out.
Jen - Glad to hear you are feeling better. I had a rough few weeks for a while there, but feel back to my old self again. And I agree with what the others said... sleep... magical cure for a lot of things!
Sandy - Good to see that you'll keep the thread going when we are all out! :) Liam's sleeps have been a bit all over the place, and I think that being out a lot doesn't help.
Been out food shopping today. Geez, it really adds up. I'm sure stuff is more expensive than it was a few weeks ago. Hiking up prices for Christmas? Because of the drought? Inflation?
Oh, and another thing I forgot to mention yesterday... Liam is crawling properly!
Oh, and another thing I forgot to mention yesterday... Liam is crawling properly!
Whoa! That's fast work! Yay for Liam :yelclap:
Sandy - Glad Coen and yourself are on the mend. What a great sleep!
I managed to get Jack down for 3 x 1/2 hour sleeps today. That's the best he's had in almost 2 weeks. He's just nodded off now for the night.
He started dancing today while playing his piano...omg it was the cutest thing ever! And he stood alone for a few seconds  He got a bit of a fright and grabbed the coffee table pretty quickly.
Off to cook dinner and make some more jewellery.

Coen is doing this now as well - and YES is drives me insane too... oh and his newest thing (please tell me somebody else does this as well - although l wouldn't wish it on any one), Coen sticks his hand in his mouth and grabs the food out of it and then plays with it....
and he much prefers feeding himself these days too... he will only have enough patience for us to shovel a few tsp's into him then he wants to have finger food... problem is he doesn't get much in... this coincided with him getting sick so l didn't worry too much cos l figured he wasn't really hungry ... but now that he is on the mend and still doing it l am afraid it is here to stay...
I think l am going to have to get one of those suction bowls and hope that he figures out how to feed himself soon....
Oh and we tried Coen on egg yolks today... loved them... cos l am trying to avoid dairy (cos of the cough) l ate his left over egg whites...
Oh and Mon, l agree with the shopping everything does seem to be more expensive... Choice did a survey on supermarkets... probably no surprises for those who have an Aldi close but Aldi was the clear winner on price... shop cost about $55 there, as opposed to just under $100 for Coles and just over $100 for Safeway... IGA was a bit more expensive again.... has anybody also noticed that the depth in brands seems to have dwindled... I've noticed that Safeway no longer stock my favourite brand of yoghurt or pickles (btw l don't eat the yoghurt and pickles together... but Penny might in a couple of weeks ) -- l really dislike that smiley!
Just a quickie because my bestie is here with her two kidlets.
Anyways... just wanted to tell you guys to check out this months Woolworths "Parents" magazine. Kaelan is on inside back page !!!! :flowerz:

I think I'm starting to stress. I did another HPT this morning and that second line is still really light (it's so light, it doesn't even show up in a photo). I *think* that it is slightly darker than yesterday... but if it is then it is minimal.
Penny, the HPT that I did was really really feint - I only did 1 at home and then went to the doctor (a few days later) who gave me another one and that was the same, she thought it might not have been a positive result so I had the blood test... and well you know the rest. Don't stress :hugs:
Coen has just woken up from a 2hr40 minute nap.... we're back baby
Wanna swap children?? Connor managed only half an hour today (for the whole day) but was actually surprisingly even tempered all day. But oh I would love him to sleep like that. YAY for Coen. Glad to hear he is on the mend. Egg yolks - Connor loves them too, I have been giving him little egg yolk, ham and mushroom omlettes - DH complains he is fed better than we are!

Yup, happens here too. Dh has nicknamed me "Slave Girl" - like Connor is "master sitting on his throne" and throws stuff for his slave to gather for amusement. He also likes to hit the spoon away just before it goes into his mouth and watch the food go all over the floor.
Been out food shopping today. Geez, it really adds up. I'm sure stuff is more expensive than it was a few weeks ago. Hiking up prices for Christmas? Because of the drought? Inflation?
Oh, and another thing I forgot to mention yesterday... Liam is crawling properly!
YAY LIAM!!!!! WOO HOO.
And on the shopping, yeah I have noticed it too esp fruit and veg seems to be a lot more expensive. Meat has been expensive for a while - I can actually comment on that (as a farm girl for 4 more days) it has cost a huge amount more to feed our stock this last couple of years. We have a large paddock dedicated to cropping for hay - 2 years ago we got 126 bails, last year we got only 34 bails and this year we are down to 29 bails - simply because it has been so dry. This means we have had to buy in feed and everyone is in the same situation so supply isn't that great and therefore more expensive etc etc. & the price per head of animal (cow) is down by about 35 - 40% too so it costs heaps more to feed and then you don't get much back. There you go another fun insight into farm life - lap it up girls only a few more sleeps til Im a city slicker and I am planning on erasing my farm knowledge base from my brain!

Marianne - welcome back... sending you a virtual beer... Coopers of course!!
I am SA all the way but I just can't do the Coopers thing. In saying that we have a bloke here for tea and he brought along a box of Coopers Pale Ale!!! I'll stick to the Carlton Dry, it's low carb, the theory is that it keeps the gym membership costs down. ;)
Hope to be back later for a chat and catch up on how everyone is going. I think we are all experiencing similar progression with our darlings.

I'm a Sparkling Ale girl myself, but am currenlty drinking Boag's Classic Blonde - low carb too.
Go LIAM go LIAM!!! doing a little dance in celebration... (l totally missed that in your post before - l think l got all excited about the expensive groceries)
Jen - Coen has only ever slept that much once before... and that was in the car... so not quite sure what brought it about today... but l hope it means the end of these bloody 30 minute naps cos they are useless!!! Conner - sleep for your mummy!!!
Lauren - well 3 sleeps (even if they are only 30 minutes) is better than none l guess, but here's :fingerscrossed: hoping he gets back into his sleep routine... what is happening to these kids????
Pen - l told my mum and DH your good news... they said to say congratulations!!!

Go Liam with the crawling!!
Sandy - glad Coen's feeling better - you certainly sound very upbeat and you're making up for your few quiet days with all these posts!
I'm with you on the throwing game Jo and Mon - it's very tiresome. I also keep everything off the highchair otherwise my back doesn't thank me for the constant bending down. If Eloise has food which needs to be fed to her though i always give her something small to munch on herself at the same time - that might help you too Sandy as it stops them fishing food out of their mouths! Well, it seems to work here anywho.
I agree with you that the 'sleep thing' is developmental - thats what it feels like here too. Eloise only had a 40 minute sleep and then a 20 minute sleep today (and the weekend wasn't much better). She is just so full-on and she never wants to stop for a sleep - life is way too exciting at the moment. Thankfully she doesn't get too cranky until evening time and then she can be distracted by dinner and bath!
Oh and Eloise has taken to growling loudly like a bear (but in a happy way) - its very embarrassing when you're walking round Southland let me tell you :)
Last night I was up 6 times!! I am absolutley exhausted. DH doesn't even hear him, I ended up screaming at DH to get up at 2:30 this morning cos I couldn't hack it anymore. He is also screaming and not sleeping through the day.
Any suggestions???
It also sounds to me like it has become a habit for him? You just have to try to break the habit- be super consistant for a few days and usually by day 3-4 he should be back to his normal self. Hope that helps.
I'm Baaaaaaaack!!!
YAY! About time!
Do we send SS on the 30th?...just need an answer.
Yep- the 30th is the cut off.
Penny- congrats to you!!!! Great news.:goodvibes:
Kim- Yay for the walking- i am so not ready for that yet! My first was an early walker too- its a bit of a shock to the system eh?
I had what i thought was PND but I'm now sure it was sleep deprivation - I don't take my meds any more and I feel great. For 7 months I was awake 4 times a night and it took its toll. I'm not saying you shouldn't consider PND but sleep deprivation is definitely a form of torture.
Yes- PND is often and easily mistaken for sleep deprivation. By all means- see your GP- and see how you go after a good solid sleep too.
Coen has just woken up from a 2hr40 minute nap.... we're back baby
So glad to hear he is feeling better!!!
Oh and Eloise has taken to growling loudly like a bear (but in a happy way) - its very embarrassing when you're walking round Southland let me tell you :)
Hmm My missy has started doing this too- and pulling her self up on the toddler seat in front and standing in the bl00dy pram! Gives me quite a fright when i turn around and half expect her to land on her head in Coles.:hair:.
She is also 'cruising' the furniture and pushing her little bike thing around and walking behind it- its all happened too fast and she is growing so quick!
She is just so full-on and she never wants to stop for a sleep - life is way too exciting at the moment
That describes Jack perfectly! I'm glad I'm not the only one..
standing in the bl00dy pram!
Jack stood up in the highchair on the weekend!! I was so stunned it took me a while to sit him back down. I think I'll have to start using the straps from now on.
Staying home again today....:hissy:

How cool I will have to check it out Penny!
Mon - that's great that Liam is now crawling
Hannah - Liam growls too but when he's annoyed........usually in the highchair when he's had enough . Yes, I'm sure the exciting world is what keeps our bubs from wanting to sleep.
Sandy - Liam doesn't actually get much of the food in his mouth when finger feeding. I've tried a few times and he squishes it in his fingers mostly. So I was thinking of feeding him as per usual with the spoon plus have some finger food to play with too. Banana seems to be the only finger food he can successfully put in his mouth to eat, but he squishes that up too.
I'm off to work today for a visit. Don't need to get there until 2pm but not sure what to do about Liam's lunchtime sleep. Was thinking of catching the train in and going for a walk along the river before heading into work so that Liam get's his lunchtime sleep. If I wait at home it will take too long to get him down for this sleep. Decisions, decisions.
hi everyone
well i dont have a cot/pram/highchair stander but i do have one that chucks a tanty every single time he has his nappy changed or gets dressed...im trying not to be a no mumma but its getting harder and harder!
im not getting much done on my mothers bag, maybe i should buy something and give this to her next years Christmas! actually im not getting much done at all. The house work has taken a major slide with a rush rush rush every morning and afternoon.
im working two full days a week (eli in childcare) and part time 1 day (eli home) and the other two days i have two kids home so i try not to do too much and spend that time with them. 4 days a week we have after school activities, some involving two different places and childcare pick up on the same afternoon.- so getting home 6-7pm. which means me getting dinner sorted before 3pm.
ive had enough of the mess and being late and driving back to schools for things weve left behind.
so today im going to draw up a list for each child for each day. Its will say whats needed for the whole day so it can all be packed and put out the night before. they will each have a quick clean area and each morning before school give it a once over and again before bed. as a reward for this we will have a dice for their fav things and take turns to roll it on the weekends to do that activity.
no-one seems to give a toss about this problem bar me. I asked dp if hes noticed everything slide and he said he "wasnt going to complain". WELL yes when your not here to help in the mornings and afternoons then you dont have a leg to stand on really do ya!
ok thanks for reading my vent!
ive got to pick up an old duck soon so best be off. They hate it when your even a min late! :hissy:

I have one of those too! Bath time is especially painful.
You certainly are one busy mum Kay! Thanks for the tip about the mini rice cakes too. I got some the other day..Jack loves them. They're perfect if I need him to be quiet for 10 minutes
I just went to get some fruit and on the way home Jack fell asleep in the car...he's so tired! So I had to drive aorund for a bit.....I have someone coming to look at jewellery this arvo. It's a gorgeous day in Melbourne :flowerz:
Penny - I went to Safeway but they didn't have the mag...Is it out yet?

Well, it seems to work here anywho. Yeah l think you're right Hannah.... I don't think we will be getting another sleep like yesterday today... but at least he is going down easily again... that is something l guess.
I'm catching up with some gals from highschool tonight... it will be very interesting... l haven't seen a couple of them in more than 10 years!!! They found me on facebook, l arranged to have coffee with one, and low and behold two others invited themselves along - should be nice...
Did we decide on a day for chat?
It is my first full day at home since dh went back to work which is nice.
How is it possible to do housework all day and look around at the end on the day and the house is as messy as when it started???
Re: PND vs sleep deprivation thing. I found that even when lily slept well at night/day i still didnt sleep well - i couldnt get off to sleep quickly and didnt sleep that soundly. If you still arent sleeping well even when your baby is then it might be worth talking to someone about possible PND.
I think we planned chat for thursday nights from 830pm EDST or 730pm in Qld. I think that it is ok to start it early like that and others can join in later. If you log in and no none is there set up a room and wait - please dont run away.

I've tried to set up a chat room before and it seems to automatically cancel itself if there is only one person in there. So it might be better to hang out in the main section until someone else turns up to keep you company. I would put a thumbs up smiley here, but the new one looks like he is having a tug. Not good.

Hi all
Penny Congratulations hope everything goes well for you.
Kim Yay for Riley walking. Lochlain's only crawling but thats enough for me at the moment.
Well haven't been doing much lately. Worked yesterday afternoon and have to work all day tomorrow.
Lochlain doesn't want to sleep much lately and when he does its only a cat nap.
Ok... I've got some catch up to do. My best friend and two kids (4 yo and 13 months) stayed here lastnight so it was a busy household.
It sounds like a few of us are having sleeping issues at the moment - do you think it is coinciding with their getting to their feet... you know another developmental milestone?
....
Happy 10 months Reece! & 9 months to Elly & Coen!
Happy 10 months Reecie and Liam... and happy 9 months to Coen and Elly !! :yelclap:
Re: Sleeping - I think it has everything to do with the bubba's being able to stand up and move. Where once if Kaelan wouldn't go to sleep, he would just lay there and scream, but eventually drift off. Now he stands up... tries to grab things off the bookshelf near him... bangs his head on the cot, plays with the aquarium etc... he can entertain himself too easily and then becomes so over-tired that it is almost impossible to settle him again.
How is Kaelan doing Penny? Eli, Kay?
Kaelan is much better !! He still has a runny nose, but is otherwise healthy. I took him to mothers group today so they weren't particularly worried that he might be contagious.
Oh, and another thing I forgot to mention yesterday... Liam is crawling properly!
Yay Liam !!!! :smiliedance:
Wow - that means I know someone famous!! How did you get that gig??
I sent in his photo to the magazine a few months ago. I went to buy a few supplies from Safeway yesterday, and noticed there was the new edition out. I flicked to the back page and was so excited when I saw his photo there... I had to restrain myself from telling everybody in the check-out queue *LOL*
Not sure when I'll get it, but looks like I've won a kick-*** prize for having the photo published (a Momento spiral bound diary - with your own photos - worth $90 - Awesome !!)
Pen - l told my mum and DH your good news... they said to say congratulations!!!
Aww, that's sweet... please send them my thanks !!
Penny - I went to Safeway but they didn't have the mag...Is it out yet?
Yes... but I only saw it for the first time yesterday, so maybe it hasn't made it onto all the supermarket shelves yet.
Us- Well, we've had yet another addition to the family... a tiny, tiny, *tiny* 4 week old fluffy grey kitten that was inadvertently abandoned by it's mother. The short version of the story is that this kitten (and 2 siblings) were found trapped inside the wall of my besties house. They had to get the fire brigade out to rescue the kittens when they were only two weeks old. My bestie is unable to keep the kitten herself because she already has a cat... and being as the little fluffball has been in the lap of DF since he got home from work lastnight (and all this morning).. we decided to try to give it a good life with us.
I fear, however, that she may not have much of a life left to live. She is very frail... literally a skeleton covered in fur. We are feeding her regular Di-Vetelact (baby animal formula) plus encouraging her to try to eat some solids.
Even though she was inside all day, she obviously became very dehydated while I was at mother's group today... and I thought I was going to lose her this evening. I ended up force feeding her some Di-Vetelact via a eye dropper which perked her up slightly... and she has since had a tiny bit of wet food. I'm hoping that she will be alright, but I honestly wouldn't be suprised if I find her dead in the morning.
My other concern is the the issue of Toxoplasmosis. For those of you who had cats while pregnant last time... what did you do?? Am I even allowed to pat the kitty-cat?? I know I'm not supposed to change the kitty litter, but I don't know if I'm going to have much choice. Do you think it would be safe to change the kitty litter with gloves and a surgical mask on?? or would that still be a risk?? Every time I even so much as touch the kitten, I wash my hands with dettol hand wash... and then use the hand sanitiser afterwards.... am I being too cautious??
It has really been playing on my mind that this is probably the wrong time in my life to get a cat !! :)
I've resisted the urge to do another HPT today... but I did do another one lastnight (the same brand as the very first one I did on Saturday)... and the line was definately darker... so that put my mind at ease a bit. I probably shouldn't be too worried right now though because I was really green around the gills this morning (like this guy :) ) and was really nauseous until well after lunch. MS seems to have started a lot earlier this time around... so I'll take that as a good sign. Hopefully, the nausea won't progress into too much of this --> :barf: (how long has it been since I used that smiley *LOL*).
ok... enough from me.

Hi Kay, I hear you re the house. I can't stand it and on top of that my DH isn't that neat, so makes it really hard. I find I have very little if no time to do anything besides doing stuff for Ben and matthew, cooking and going to get jake. I'll go now and tidy the house fold some washing. I'll then send the newsletter off to the printers and have a shower and then hopefully I'll have enough time to scrap and do some cards.

No worries with patting etc. You can only catch it from cat poo. I never changed the litter. I always made DH do it but I did fish some poo's out from time to time (when I couldn't wait til DH got home from work) I used gloves and then washed my hands afterwards. HTH. Check with your doctor though just to be safe.
Glad to hear your feeling :barf:
We need a smiley that says....
THUNDERSTORM..RAIN RAIN RAIN.;)
We just had almost 2 inches in an hour..big thing for the Desert.
Already a kitty-cat update *LOL*
As I said previously, the kitten seemed to get quite dehydrated while I was at mothers group today (I was only gone for 3 hours). The house temperature was up at 28 degrees inside when I got home. She was very lethargic and unco-ordinated (tripping over things).. refusing foods and fluids and not interested in playing with her toys... quite sickly (and I was tossing up whether to bother taking her to the vet... because I thought she was going to die on me).
Anyways... fast forward 4 hours. The house has now cooled down with the evap cooling, and after a big sleep in her box, she just helped herself to some Di-Vetelact (in a dish), some dry food and even some wet food. And now she is playing with a toy that I bought her this afternoon on my way home (a feather and jingly ball on a stick). She seems much improved now.. so hopefully this is a good sign.
She's such a cute little thing but so, so little (she's about as tall as a coffee cup)... I'll have to post a photo. She doesn't have a name yet either... must work on that.
Re the M/S did you have m/s with Reece?
Well, you'll have to ask Hels about Reece :D But with Kaelan, I had all-day nausea from 6-14 weeks, with a few vomitting episodes in between. With this pregnancy so far... my nausea started at 7DPO... god knows how that works... but I swear it's true.
Lauren - Thanks for the information !!
Blubber - That's quite a downpour !!! Got anymore for the rest of Australia?? :)

Will try and get the rivers to flow.
There has been fairly wide spread rain in these districts.
You should be right in Melbourne though, it always rains there doesn't it:laughing:
oooohhhh :rain::rain::rain::rain:..we have these, Didn't see them before.:dizzy:

Hi guys just a quick hello,
We are all moved and just about unpacked.
I fell down the stairs the day before we left and hurt my tail bone really bad so the car trip was painful.
Then when the removalist delivered our stuff my 4 foot fish tank had a huge crack in it
But lucky i got insurence and there going to replace it.
Apart from that everything has gone perfect.
My Mum brought me a out door setting for my b-day next wednsday which was great.
Not much else happening bub had 2 of her top teeth through and 2 more nearly through.
The kids have settled in really well.
Anyway I will catch up properly soon, I don't have the net on at home yet so I'm using my mums computer.
Hope everyone is well and bubs are good.

Oops sorry, I meant Kaelan. My nausea started way earlier with Ben and Matthew as well. I guess our bodies just know what to do seeing they've done it before.

It might always rain in Melbourne, but it just never seems to reach the right areas!!

Man, I hope I'm not having twins !! My mother has told me that she has had several dreams that my next pregnancy will be twins (she doesn't know I'm pregnant yet BTW).
I'm only after one more bubba... not two !! I couldn't handle three under 18months !! (where's my cool 'eek' smiley when I need him !!)

Kim - I hope you're having a better day today. Yes, teething is a pain and I notice that Liam is more clingy too.
Leashie - :hugs: I hope your tailbone heals soon. I hurt mine years ago and it was very painful.......couldn't get out of bed at first.
Penny - this whole pregnancy thing is so exciting and a new kitten, how cute! Let's hope your mum isn't psychic :wizard:
Marianne - has the thunderstorm settled down yet? We are supposed to be getting rain/thunderstorms in Melbourne today and tomorrow.
Our trip into work yesterday went well. Didn't actually talk about my return to work much at all......everyone was too busy playing with Liam who just loved all the attention. It was a hot 31 in Melbourne though. I walked through the Fitzroy Gardens which was lovely but I was so hot by the time I got to work.
Not much happening here. Liam's asleep and I'm thinking of getting some :sleeping:myself as I was up to Liam twice last night. I think it's the teething.
It's getting so close to Christmas isn't it :tree:. DH is installing some extra outside powerpoint or something so that we can put up some lights outside. Not many people have lights on our street.
Is it true we shouldn't give pork to bubs under age 1? I read it somewhere but was wondering because there will be ham & pork on Christmas day at my BIL's.

I have been giving Connor little pieces of ham and bacon but only once or twice a week. I think it could be because pork products are high in sodium nitrate - might be little bit much for their bodies and prob make them pretty thirsty????

I've never heard that one Jo and all my kids have had it pretty young. No issues- i guess ask your GP if your really concerned?
Cody has pork once a week or so.
Have a nice day everyone!:noel:
Morning girls.
I read all the posts and thought of lots of clever and funny replies but now they are all dissapered.
Does anyone ever feel like that guy in Momento? only i dont remember anything that happened after Lily was concieved!!
Did a frantic rush to the gym today. Put lily in the childminding did a workout and rushed home in time to put her in bed!! I feel good now but i am worried that i might have hurt myself with all the rushing.
Meeting a friend in the park later for the bubs to have a swing.
Other than that i suppose more cleaning is in order.
I think I have a climber!!
In the morning I've been bringing Jack into bed with us so I can lay down and get some rest. He doesn't sleep just jumps on us and mucks around..this morning he climbed over the top of me (I was laying on my side) and fell down between the bed and the bedside table   I was holding on to him by one leg so he didn't fall onto his head.
I've never seen DH move out of bed so quickly to grab him...
Jack re-settled himself after half an hour's sleep today too...Yippee!! I didn't have to go into him. He had an hour..hopefully were on the improve
Kim - :hugs: We've had a bit of a rough month with our finances this month as well... its the time of year unfortunately... most companies don't follow up on bills right away - so if you are really strapped for cash paying them a few weeks late isn't going to matter too much... or you could always ring them and ask for an extension...
Leashie - Finally - you are in your new home!!! How does it feel? How are the kids coping? How's the coccyx going? (don't worry l share your pain there... its not pleasant is it?)
Jo - On the pork as far as l know they say its cool to introduce between 8-10 months... I'd guess that you would just try and limit the more unhealthy types ... like bacon....
Penny - You are making me clucky!!! I was reading your post thinking how much l would love to be pregnant.... but then the realities of dealing with two young children hit me.... then l get clucky and well the cycle is driving me batty!!! Please please please share the experience with us... sickness and all!!! Its just so exciting!!!!
Us- A few gals from highschool that found me on facebook came over for a drink last night... first time l had seen two of them since highschool.... it was fun...we were talking until 11.30... one of them is pregnant (11 weeks after trying for 3 years)...
Coen had a bit of a temp last night and again this morning, l gave him some panadol and have made an appt. with the doc just to make sure there is nothing further wrong... to those who had bronchiolitis in the past... when the cough was all but gone ... did a rattle remain? Coen's not eating much but he is drinking like a trooper ... which l should be very happy with l guess... he's awake now but just gurgling, l am going to leave him in his cot for a little while - hopefully he will sleep for a bit longer...
to those who had bronchiolitis in the past... when the cough was all but gone ... did a rattle remain?
Jack had it for ages...months  Good idea taking him to the doc's. Jack developed an ear infection after his bronch
Jack never had an afternoon sleep. He was up from 12 til 6...crazy child :devil6:I got sick of him screaming in his cot so we went for a drive and he still didn't sleep.
Penny - How's the kitty going? Got any pics? and a name?
I love cats..I'd have 10 if DH would let me. I'm not allowed to watch shows on abandoned animals anymore. DH switches the channel as I always end up dragging him to the cat shelter
Went to the doc's today cos of Coen's temperature... and to just check out the rattle was okay and combined there was nothing to be concerned about... Doc wrote on his notes "reassured"... its not like l went in there carrying on, l just said he has a bit of a temp. and l wanted to make sure he hadn't gotten a secondary infection... I'm going to become like Elaine from Seinfeld and start reading doc charts...
Coen is a bit clingy at the moment... just today, and a bit of yesterday evening... don't know if its cos he's coming out of it or what... his throat is a bit red, so maybe it was just that ... he was drinking like there was no tomorrow... which l guess l should be happy with....
Just a quick one, hope someone can help.
Can I have a default file size for photobucket pics? When i upload and preview the pics are really small.

Sounds like you had a good time. It's amazing what people are up to years after leaving school.
Matthew is still rattly. Good on you for getting him checked out. He's probably still fighting a virus, thus he's off his food. As long as he's drinking okay, that's great. Start worrying when he refuses fluid.
When Matthew gets sick he refuses everything including fluids and last time we were nearly admitted because he was starting to get dehydrated.
I hope Coen feels better soon.
As for us, well we had a good day today.
Tonight though is a different story. Jake complained of a really sore foot, and was in tears(poor boy). Turns out he has a splinter or something embedded in his foot. DH is at the Austin with him now and they are waiting for the dr to take it out. I'm a bit anxious for my boy and hope that it won't hurt him too much.

Me - I got offered the job I went for, as long as I go back 4 days a week. Could probably wrangle 3 days a week plus 1 day from home. My current job, which is definitely mine to go back to if I want it, I'd be working 3 days a week. The base salary for the new job is a bit more, and there is more opportunity for a variety of interesting work and career advancement.
My plan was to go back 2 days a week, and increase to 3 in a month or two. I'm hoping if I take this one I could do the same sort of thing... start 3 days a week and increase to 4.
MIL is offering to look after Liam however many days needed, so childcare isn't an issue (well, not logistically at least!)
So, I have until Monday to let them know. Should I keep my current job and work 3 days a week like I originally planned, or take the new one and work 4 days a week? I'm already having separation anxiety thinking about this. Might go sneak a peek at Liam sleeping.

 Hello girls,
how is everyone ive had a better day today, hubby fixed our fridge (for now) which helps so much at this point in time!! And although Riley didn't sleep last night and i was so drained this morning i had a fairly reasonable day.
I went shopping with my mum and i got myself a bargain from Target, i got a new pair of 3/4 jeans and a top which i desperately needed, and it cost me $45 for the lot, i had been looking at the top for months but stopped myself as it was $50 and i thought i could go without waisting the money, i got it fr $10 today and the jeans i got were marked $50 as well and i got them for $35 i was so happy with myself!!
Riley was good today, he had a nap this morning no problems, then we went out came home and he slept for 2.5 hours :smiliedance: and then he went back to sleep for another hour about 1.5 hours after the big nap!! tonight my mum has taken him so i can get a good night sleep and what am i doing, sitting here writing on bub hub eating chocolate and rice custard i just cant stop eating, and ive had weird tummy pains and been drinking so much and peeing heaps... hmmmm....
oh and i have a cat too if you want her Lauren but i do not do refunds!!!
Sandy- thanks for the :hugs: sounds like you need some too!! i hate November December, i always start out feeling great thinking yep ill have a great birthday this year and then stupid sh*t happens, i was hoping being my 21st this year it could be different guess not hey!! :crying:
Oh and congrats on the job Mon!
well i think ill be off to bed i know i need sleep so long hot bath then bed sounds like the way to go, should be making the most of my night alone with hubby but ahh cant be stuffed to drained haha
night girls!!

Don't worry... I'm fairly sure I'll end up with most of the complications I had last pregnancy... so I'll probably be in here whinging every day. You'll be all greatful when the pregnancy is over, I'm sure.
And as for dealing with two young children... I'm in denial.. it scares me too much to think about it !!
Hope Coen is feeling better soon !!
Penny - How's the kitty going? Got any pics? and a name?
I love cats..I'd have 10 if DH would let me. I'm not allowed to watch shows on abandoned animals anymore. DH switches the channel as I always end up dragging him to the cat shelter
I can't even go anywhere near an animal shelter... I would seriously take every animal home.
As for the kitty cat... well, she gave us a bit of a scare this morning...was really lethargic and weak again, vomitting constantly and basically looked on deaths door. We ended up missing Kaelans swimming session to take her up to the vet.
The Vet said that she is quite malnourished (this is pretty obvious).. but because she is still quite active, that was a good sign. He confirmed that she is definately a girl and that she is indeed around four weeks old. He gave her some worming medication and told us to force feed her the Di-Vetelact if need be. He also suggested that we weigh her using electronic kitchen scales (which we have) to monitor her weight gains/losses.
This evening, she is like a different cat again. She's just had a good feed (without me having to forcefeed her) so :fingerscrossed: that she doesn't bring it all back up. She's also been very active and playful. She does sleep alot, but I'm guessing that this would be normal for a four week old kitten who would normally still be with her mother. The one thing I've noticed is that she never licks to clean herself... I'm wondering if this is what her mother would normally be doing and/or teaching her. She is litter trained already, so that is a bonus. It's been so many years since I've had a cat... I can't remember any of this stuff !!
I've taken a photo of the kitten and have put it online HERE (http://www.penny-clark.com/temp/kitty.jpg). On my laptop (which has a tiny 12" widescreen monitor), the pic is almost life-size :)
Oh, and she still hasn't got a name yet (I guess we want to see if she's going to survive first)
Twins will be wonderful ;) can only talk from experience. I must say I have a 3 and a half year gap, I wouldn't like to be having them any closer in age. I dreamt that I was having twins even before I fell pregnant.
When do you have your first scan?
Hope Jake gets attended to quickly... and that he is ok !!
re: scan - I haven't seen my doctor yet... might wait a few more days and then make an appointment to see her. Then I'll see if I can wrangle my way into a dating scan (I'll just pretend I don't know my LMP or something *LOL* Even though I know exactly when I ovulated !!)
At my obstetrician appointments I had to wait about 15 minutes by myself in one of the consulting rooms. The receptionist would show me in and place the chart on the desk, then close the door behind her. Of course I'm going to read it!
Imagine what it's like being a nurse who is used to having full access to all patient charts... but then having to be on the 'other side of the fence' as a patient. I don't like that loss of control at all :D Needless to say, I'm always watching to see what doctors/nurses write in my notes.. and will totally sneak a peak at my chart at the end of the bed (for example) if given the chance. It also helps that I'm used to reading doctors writing and that I know what all the 'lingo' means :) So they can't hide much from me !!
For the record... if you guys ever need a translation of medical notes/letters/charts etc, let me know and I'll try to help clarify things for you.
So, I have until Monday to let them know. Should I keep my current job and work 3 days a week like I originally planned, or take the new one and work 4 days a week? I'm already having separation anxiety thinking about this. Might go sneak a peek at Liam sleeping
If I had unlimited childcare with a family member for free, then I'd probably work the extra hours... but that's just me.
How much do you really want this job???
Kim - Glad to hear you've had a better day.
Mon, congrats on the job. I would take the job that will give you the most satisfaction in the long run.
Mummybunny, what a good mum you've got. Have a good nights sleep.
Oh penny, your kitten is gorgeous!
Oh... (and I know how bored you guys must be with all this *LOL*)... but I did yet another HPT this morning (like I don't have anything better to do)... and the second line was most definately darker... so I feel a bit better now. I'm also getting nausea when I first wake up in the morning and it continues on and off during the day depending on how much food I have in my stomach.
I'm trying to resist the urge to eat all the time because when I was pregnant with K, I put on 10 kilos in the first 12 weeks because of the m/s... being as I've started this pregnancy 6 kilos heavier than pre-Kaelan... I'm determined not to do that again !!
Anyways, enough of this pregnancy talk.. I think I'm hogging the thread.... please continue with your own discussions !!
lol i will openly admit that i am extremely jealous of you Penny and i will be living vicariously through you! LOL
Juz - I hope you get your :bfp: soon... It would be so nice to have another BFP Buddy !! (Hels has postponed TTC til the New Year, so she's out... so I'm depending on you Juz !!! *LOL*).
Right... I'm sending you lots of baby vibes. I'm using the rest of my smiley quota for this purpose alone !!

lol Thanks Pen. Id be working on it now but DP is in Sydney!! Hahaha
LOL. That's very funny. Just think about when you are with him. See I don't have to worry about that, as I still have 3 more embies on ice and therefore, if I were even remotely thinking of it (which I'm not) it wouldn't matter if DH was here or not.
I think it's nice to have them close, but once you have a second, there really is no time for the first and you are constantly battling to get some extra time in the day. Enjoy your babies while you can because they grow up so fast.
hi everyone :shakehands:
Eli is sick again.
sounds like croup. dry voice barking cough in the night and early morning.
oh what a long night and oh what a long day its going to be!
Doc wrote on his notes "reassured"..
Don't worry..we have that written on Jack's notes too. You did the right thing by taking him in. Hope he's ok today?

How is he now? All ok?
Me - I got offered the job I went for, as long as I go back 4 days a week
Hard decision Mon. If it were me I'd only do 3 days a week BUT I don't have family to look after Jack and you do live close to work I guess you could pop home if you needed to. Good Luck :)
I've taken a photo of the kitten and have put it online HERE (http://www.penny-clark.com/temp/kitty.jpg). On my laptop (which has a tiny 12" widescreen monitor), the pic is almost life-size
Ohhh so so cute! I'm jealous! I'd love a kitty from Santa
I did yet another HPT this morning (like I don't have anything better to do)... and the second line was most definately darker..
:smiliedance:I'm more than happy to hear about your preggo stuff. It's all so exciting and bringing back lots of nice memories
Eli is sick again.
Poor Eli and you :hugs: You've definately had your fair share of sickness. I hope it's not too bad. Jack had croup when he was 2 months old. The cough is awful isn't it?
Kim - Great score on the jeans and top. I love it when you get a good bargain - especially one you've been eyeing off for a while
Juzz - What have you been up to? How's Cassi? Are you going to Sydney at all?
Us - I'm ready to trade Jack in for a new baby (or a cat :p) He's out of control...he threw the biggest tantrum in the bath last night because I wouldn't let him touch the taps. He woke up at 4.30am and was rattling the cot rail....wasn't hungry just wanted to fluff around. I just put him back in his cot and turned the monitor off.....I'm tired :sleeping:He just never stops. I think he went back to sleep for 40 minutes. CRAZY!!!!!
Someone please tell me it's a phase
Jen - Good Luck with the move. Hope it all goes smoothly :)
Juzz - What have you been up to? How's Cassi? Are you going to Sydney at all?
I am good thanks, just been keeping a low profile really. Cassidy is good. Has discovered that crawling is fun and rolling over at nappy changes makes mummy crazy. She also found out last night that she can stand in the bath
Going to Sydney on the 7th Dec. So i will still be here for the xmas party. Thats the only reason i delayed it so much!! LOL
Hope everyone is well BTW!

Lauren - it must have been the morning for it - Eloise was awake at 4.10 bouncing around the cot until I told her to go back to sleep. Not so happy then!
Mon - congratulations on the job. I'd personally want to work as few days as possible but it must be good to know you've got family to take care of Liam. Good luck with the decision.
Sharon - Is Jake OK? Ouchie - poor boy.
Hope Coen and Eli are both on the mend today.
Cats - I remember at the end of my pregnancy stroking my beloved cat and worrying that I wouldn't love my new baby as much as him  How times have changed! I would happily give him up if I could rehome him comfortably. Your lil kitty cat is gorgeous though Penny.
I got AF back today which I'm pretty pleased about as it means I might know where I am a bit if we TTC in the new year. I think it happened because Eloise has cut down her feeds a bit - not the number of feeds but the length of them. Maybe it's because she now likes drinking a few mouthfuls of water from her sippy cup at meal times.

Hi ladies,
Lauren - Thanks!!! Yup the big move is On!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I might be MIA for a few days. Hopefully Telstra will have oour phone connected so we can use dial up for a few days - if not then I will pop in and pinch a wireless card from work!! Can't be without bubhub (and bl00dy facebook) for too long! Have to wait til monday for my foxtel to be installed... but another thing that Im looking forward to... free to air TV - we can only get channel 2 and SBS here properly (through the foxtel satelite) we could never be bothered putting up a tower to put and ariel on. So oooohhh a whole new world of TV for me!! (gee I sound like a loser!)
... and Jack - be nice to your mumma!!! Little buggers atm aren't they??!! Fingers crossed it is a phase that ends soon.
Mon - I read your post last night and went in and looked at Connor sleeping! Aren't they cute when they are asleep. Any thoughts on what you might do? even if you decide to take your old job you can have the confidence in knowing that you were offered another one - so your skills etc must be great and I guess if you wanted to you could always try for a similar job further down the track? Not trying to influence you just a thought. Well done anyway!!:yelclap:
Pen - Cute cute cute!! I have never considered myslelf a cat person until our fluff ball ran away for the few weeks and I realised she wasn't just here to get the mice... I actually liked her. That little kitten is just adorable! Hope she gets stronger. Glad to hear your feeling more pregnant now too!!
Well Connor slept through lastnight!!! 7pm til 6am!! But I was awake and up at 2 and then 4,I even went in to see if he was still breathing! Just hope he goes ok in his new room.
Must go and have a shower and get moving. Have a lovely day everyone... sorry to anyone I missed - brain not in full gear yet!
Sharon - how did Jake end up??? Poor thing!
Kim - well done on the shopping - don't you just feel great when you hunt down a bargain!
Cute kitty Pen
Poor Eli. Has he slept for you during the day today Kay?
Coen is doing much better today, back to his usual self, no fever... he didn't have a long sleep today... and took 1 hour to fall asleep for his afternoon nap... but he just played quietly in the cot so it didn't bother me... I am going a bit stir crazy... can't wait to get out and about... my self imposed exile will be over come the weekend...

Mon - I'm only going back to work 2 days per week only.......personally, I've heard it's quite hard returning to work and to ease back into it slowly.......if you want the new job I would definitely consider 3 days per week and one day work from home. A friend from Mothers Group does this and says it works okay.
Penny - it all sounds good on the pregnancy front! Love the kittie.
Lauren - Liam's pretty similar to Jack. Bit of a nightmare and won't stop. He's only had two half hour naps today and one was in the pram......so as per usual I've got nothing done. Does Jack get really cranky by dinner time? Liam does if he hasn't slept well :hissy:
What's everyone give their bubs for lunch? Today I gave Liam pasta (small stars) with vegies and some fish......only just tried white fish so only gave him a small amount. I haven't got to the stage where Liam's eats what we eat yet.....but hopefully getting there soon.
I still have to pulse/finely mash meat and chicken at the moment because Liam only has one tooth so I doubt could properly chew the tougher meats like Lamb etc.
Liam is currently insisting on climbing up my leg and sitting on me while I type..........then he grissles to get down and the same thing over and over.....there's no pleasing this bub sometimes :hair:
:shakehands: hi
ive had a sh!t of a day, blasting headache from the lack of sleep from last night.
hes whinged all damn day. I had to take Ds to the school today (kinder 08 fun days) and had to keep Eli quiet During a 1 hour meeting
Dp came home so i could go pick up laybys and of course eli was asleep the whole time he was home with him. i walked in the door to dd1 telling me she got suspended from school and Dp telling me to deal with it cos he had to go back to work.
so after talking to DD then ringing the school we have it sorted, shes doing it "in school" and we hope she will never, EVER, draw a picture of a pen!s and a picture of the principal (yes together!), in a work book, in class, ever again!
and because i couldnt laugh at this childs stupidity and had to put on my cranky face i went outside to bring in the washing...ds followed me out and saw the dog had vomited in three spots and we had a million ants around it.
he stood there, hands on hips and said ' [oh wow whole pockets full of puke! oooow... look at the ants! there's whole buckets full of ants here!"
we now know why the puppy is sitting in the laundry asleep and not humping the cat.
oh and just to top off my sh!t, penis, vomit, humping day... Eli.......... no ill save the last bit..
anyone else have any poop and baby stories theyd like to share first??
:hissy:
Does Jack get really cranky by dinner time? Liam does if he hasn't slept well :hissy:
YES! He sure does..he rubbed food all in his eyes tonight because he was so tired
and we hope she will never, EVER, draw a picture of a pen!s and a picture of the principal (yes together!), in a work book, in class, ever again!
  PMSL..sorry Kay! You poor bugger. I don't have any poo stories that I can think of but Jack ate cat litter twice this week
I hope you have a better night ;)
:shakehands: hi
anyone else have any poop and baby stories theyd like to share first??
:hissy:
Well Lily did 6 poos today - the last one was huge and it was in the bath.
To make matters worse the cleaner came today and now their is sh!t in my beautifully cleaned bath!! :hissy::hair::barf::gloomy:
and its gonna stay there till dh gets home....
So are we still on for chat tonight?
Wow - how did that post get into our forum????
Kay - your day sounds .... harried... mind you l did get a chuckle out of your DD... god is that what we all have to look forward to???
Coen's asleep - gonna go read for a little while... He's back to his old self again... still the odd cough and nose is still running a bit... but he is well... no fever, back to his usual spirits... which is very very good!
No poo stories here either... what happened Kay?
Let me guess, Eli poo'ed, decided he would help you out a bit, wiped his butt with the picture your Daughter drew of her principal's pen!s and left it out to attract the ants that have collected in your back yard (with the obvious intention that they would die having consumed his... ummmm faecal matter????)
Anybody else got a theory?
hope to see you in chat tonight... if l don't get too caught up in my new book
ha ha sandy!
The principal is a female and my bright spark wrote her name on the picture- in her work book- in class!
mind you......
**mother of halo wearing child steps up**
she was being egged on by another child. The teacher and principal both told me she was a follower not a leader.. BUT. doesnt make me feel better about her actions. About time she stopped trying to be in with the 'cool kids'...anyway shes now got 4 days in the office to think about it. mother of other naughty kid tried to call me but i dont have anything much to say. Her dd is a very talented artist and now mine can now draw a penis with so much detail it even has hairy bits!
ok thanks for the poop support stories....
put it this way. i had to get it out from under his nails and his ears...and we all know what babies do with things in their hands :barf:
i was trying to change him on the floor (hes about to bunji off the change station) i tried to put another one on but couldnt get the snaps to line up with his moving so i left him there, naked, and went to the line to get a velcro tabs nappy. still wet so i went to the bedroom to get one. stuffed it and walked back to where i left him.
thankgawd he painted the tiles and not the carpet.
:barf:
i had to put toothpaste on his fingers to get rid of the smell

This would have to be the worst baby sh!t story i have!
10 years 4 kids and he holds the record.
ds did take off a pooped nappy standing in his cot, then stood in it.
but never has the sh!t been in contact with a mouth :barf:
he had it in his hair too.
afterwards i thought i should have taken a picture but at the time i was trying so hard not to upchuck on the carpet!
Hello lovey ladies,
Thank you to those of you who asked about Jake. It ended up being a shard of glass that didn't come out and was getting infected. They ended up having to take it out and DH and Jake got home at 1.30am. Poor boy was so tired.
He's fine now thank goodness but tonight as he was jumping into bed knocked his knee really badly. He really hasn't had a good 24 hours. He's sound asleep and hopefully stays like that till the morning.
I'm sorry I didn't make it to chat tonight, needed to attend to Jake's knee.

I just did Tan.
I'm having a very proud moment this morning.
A friend of mine for a very long time last night won, for the second year in a row the Walkley Press Photographer of the year award.
I feel so proudfor her.
Hello everyone,
Gee it's quiet in here. Everyone must be by the beach. Why didn't anyone let me know?
Just checking in ...
Hey girlies... how are you all??
Busy day here... started off having to use up some defrosted minced meat... so was cooking cottage pie early this morning (we ended up having some for lunch... yum !!).
Kaelan finally had his long-awaited paediatrician appointment this afternoon and the doc is pretty happy that K's allergies have settled down significantly. He wants to see us again in three months for review but a couple of weeks before that appointment, Kaelan will be having bloods taken for some allergy testing.
I then went and posted my Kris Kringle... I've tried my best to hide my identity.. but I'm guessing that there will be SOMETHING somewhere that will give me away :) I hope not though...
And for the past couple of hours, I've been making my christmas pudding... it has lots of brandy and mixed fruit in it.. so my house smells really yummy right now !!! :xmas: It's currently boiling on the stove for the next 3 hours and then it hangs in a dark cupboard until christmas day. I love home-made puddings... they beat mass-produced, store bought varieties any day !!
Speaking of christmas... Being as it will be the 1st December tomorrow... I think I should be allowed to rummage through my garage and pull out all my christmas paraphenalia tonight... so that I can start decorating my house and tree. DF is a bit bar humbug so he doesn't see it that way... but I'm starting to get excited and am too impatient to wait.
Before I do that though... I should probably clean up my kitchen... after all the cooking today, there isn't even an inch of clear bench space... where's my personal cleaner when I need one ;)
Master K is 10 months old today :flowerz:
I'd love to be in your house right now.
I love the smell of freshly cooked food and cake!!
happy 10 months to K.
B and M will be 12 months on Dec 21:eek:
What a stressful evening I had lastnight...
This is going to sound ridiculous, but we lost the kitten.... IN OUR HOUSE !!
One minute she was playing happily at my feet and next minute, she was gone. DF and I spent over *three hours* lastnight searching through our entire house, going through cupboards, moving furniture and even looking in the silly places like the oven and microwave !!
In the end, we ended up going to bed not knowing where she was, whether she was still alive or whether she was even still in the house (we were fairly certain that all external doors were shut at the time she vanished). I had visions of one day packing up our stuff to move and finding a mummified kitten amongst our stuff.. awful !!
Anyways, this morning I woke up and came up into the loungeroom and she still wasn't around. I stood there for a couple of minutes and just listened.. hoping that I might hear a little meow or something. Next thing you know, I feel something attacking my slipper.. I look down and there she is !! All lively, happy and not at all dead... relief !!
The only bad thing about all this is that because of the stress I felt, I'm feeling quite crampy which is of concern to me. So :fingerscrossed: that nothing comes of it.
I just realised that it is December....
