Hay fever and natural remedies

Anyone know of any natural preparations I can take for hay fever? It's been unbearable these last few days. My eyes are so watery, and I'm constantly blowing my nose. I spoke to the chemist and he said there is nothing I can really take (I am pregnant).

Anyone know of a natural remedy?

Sorry I cannot think of any natural remedies atm, but I am in the same boat as you. Through my 2 previous pregnancies and now this one I have been allowed to take polaramine tablets, as these are a Category A drug and safe to use during pregnancy. Hope this helps

Garlic, VitC, and horseradish. You can get them in a combined pill. To be honest, they don't work as quick as the medical-type drugs, but if you're concerned about what's going in your body....

The other thing is, Zytec is safe to take during pregnancy. I asked the Drugs in Pregnancy hotline, and my midwife, and the chemist lady looked it up on her computer. The hotline said the only drug they recommend for hayfever or colds 'n' flu during pregnancy is Zytec.

Thanks samaoke and Queenie! I'll check out Zytec, and I'll also start taking garlic and VitC. After my son was born, I got sick constantly, so I really should start looking after my vitamin intake anyway so I don't fall in a nutritional heap after this baby!

My hayfever has been crippling this season, but I am finding that the Brauer Hayfever tablets work like a charm!
