4 week old pocket stuffing

My now 4 week old DD2 is a big wee'er. I have her in home made pockets with 1 bamboo trifold which is only 1 layer thick folded in 4. When i take her nappy off the trifold is saturated. Whilst we have not had any leaks yet i can see them coming. She is feeding 3 hourly and is changed every feed.

If i put another trifold in the pocket they don't seal around her legs, prob because she has chicken legs being so small. Any suggestions?

I am also using some homemade fitted pockets which are working really well, it's just the PUL pockets i am concerned about. I don't have enough fitteds in my stash not to use the PUL pockets.

i have found my nappies are fine with 2 hemp inserts (6 layers) thats for a heavy day, and at night they need at least 3 inserts - and yes we have the gaping sides issue, i have started putting a cover over the nappy at night, using a mothers ease one atm , but soon plan to have some fleece covers that i will uses at night and during the day to keep little fingers from ripping the nappies off (when its to friggin hot to wear any clothes!)
