Putting Isla in the cot for the first time tonigh! I am not sure how she will go as she has slept in a baby hammock for the last 10 months.
We used the hammock because of her reflux, but now her reflux is completely under control we want to try the cot as she is getting quite big and will soon be out of the hammock.
Any suggestions on how to make the transition a bit easier for us???
Just see how you go first, quite often we - as mothers - talk up such events and put more stress and preperation into them then we need. So give it a go tonight, same bedtime routine, pop her in and see how she goes.
I stressed SO much about putting Cobes from my bed to his own cot after 15 months of co-sleeping with the last 3 being a scream fest for an hour and he was asleep in minutes in his own cot!

I agree with Seekrit - I unnecessarily worried and fussed when moving DD from bassinet to cot but she adjusted instantly!
See how you go first before worrying! If she has toys that she regularly plays with, maybe put those in the cot and have a bit of playtime in there with DD and then put her to sleep...
Good luck!

If she doesn't settle well in the cot, try putting her in her hammock in the cot (if that makes sense) for a few nights then take the hammock away so at least she gets used to the space around her while she's in her comfort zone. Or getting her to play a little in there might help with the transition rather than plunging her right in.
