Muffins for bubba?

I was thinking of making some moist savoury and fruit muffins for Ava who is now 11mths but all the recipes I come across contain egg so they are a no no, even though they sound awfully tasty.

Does anyone on here know of any good muffin or fritata type recipes for babies?

I'm trying to expand ava's diet to include more finger foods but I'm pretty clueless :D

Is Ava alergic to egg white?
If not the small amount she will eat in a muffin is not going to cause any detrimental effects.
If she has never eaten anything with egg before just be cautious as you would be introducing any new food.
Looking at her birthdate she is 3 weeks away from 12 mths. This time isn't going to change whether or not she is going to react to eggwhite.:)

I bought Curty some Heinz baby cereal, porridge with apple I think, and on the back it had a recipe for mini apple muffins, made with this cereal stuff. It's in a green box, same size as farex etc.

So if it has one egg in it, it should be fine?

I wouldn't have a clue to be honest... I don't think shes eaten anything that wuold have egg white in it. :)

Yeah, it will be fine :) Unless there's a family history of egg allergy? I wouldn't worry about restricting it anymore. Scrambled eggs are great for little toddlers :yes: And cakes and muffins are a must IMO :laughing:

Mmm yes muffins !

They are a huge hit in this house & the only way i can get Boof eating lots of stuff !

I just use a basic muffin recipe then add whatever i feel like whether be savoury or sweet.

Another quick way to see if she would react to eggs is to do a quick patch test. Rub some raw egg on her arm & leave it be for a few hours you will see a reaction if she has any issues :)
