Toilet Training

Cj has recently been becoming quite interested in the toilet. :yelclap:
So, at every nappy change I have been putting him on the "coi" (that is what he calls it :p ). I have been doing this for a few weeks now & he is yet to actually do anything on there :confused: He tells me when he wants to do a poo, not everytime but occasionally. But he waits until a fresh nappy goes on to do it .
So, my question is, how long will it take before he gets the picture? Obviously who knows really? But I guess I'm just wondering if I'm going about TT correctly...

hi there,
in my limited experience of tt (2 kids so far) i have found it can vary greatly from child to child.
it sounds like you are doing well in encouraging it to be a relaxed and fun experience.
my 1st just did it during the day when she was about 2,but was in night nappies until preschool.
#2 needeed motivation in the form of rewards to get going then did away with nappies altogether (although we have the odd slip up) about 2.8 mths old.
for a while there i though it was never gonna happen, but it did :)
