Well we arrived in Hobart on the 16th feb and we felt pretty exhausted although the journey wasn't too bad. the kids slept most of the way, it was just the last leg from Melbourne where everyone wanted to just be here.
We stayed in a hotel in Richmond for the first 6 nights as we had no beds but eventually the boys beds arrived so we could move in to our house. Dh and I are sleeping on a very uncomfortable sofa bed and keep thinking about turfing the kids out of their beds so we can have them!!!
Our container should be arriving any day now and then it will be in customs and quarantine for 10-14 days. It will be really nice to have all our stuff around us again but we have survived really well so far! I have become very familiar with the shopping centre already having to keep popping in to buy this and that.
Our drive is almost vertical so I have no idea how the removal company will bring all our stuff to the house. We can barely get up and down the drive with our four wheel drive! I find myself looking at other people's drives and getting 'drive envy'! Everytime i have to drive out I start panicking about getting the car up the drive!
We got the boys in to school on Tuesday which was a relief as they were driving me mad but they had the day off on Friday as jet lag seemed to finally kick in. Instead of school we spent the day on Taroona beach - such a hard life...lol
I look forward to meeting up with you guys at some point. Hard to believe we are really here!!!
