Hi, I'm new to this forum and I wondered if anyone can offer advise/help? I'm almost 44 and hubby is 46 , we have three kids aged 22, 20 &12 and i've been thinking of another lately!I DON'T KNOW IF THIS SOUNDS CRAZY OR NOT???My sister aged 41 is almost due to have her 4th and i've been going with her for her checkups this probably was the key trigger! My mother suprised me by saying that if we went ahead we should have another so as they would be company for each other. My hubby's biggest concern is the age he would be as a child grew older!I don't know if this is a mid life crisis or I should follow this instinct, anyone in this situation or age group? I would apprecciate any advise or thoughts! Cheers Mumx3

Why not have more if you feel that you want more then i say go for it! My mum had 6 of us, she had 5 of us under the age of 6 then when she hit 38 she had another one, there is 15 years difference between the 5th and 6th. She was happy though and actually enjoyed it as all of us were grown up and independant and she felt the need to do it all again :)

ONly you know whats right, follow your heart if you can do it then go for it!

Hi mumx3 I am 45 and I have 2 girls 24 and 19 from my first marriage and a 3 year old boy from my 2nd marriage. It was a good idea at the time is all I can say ...LOL>.. I really forgot about the late nights, I even had to go to Tresillian as I forgot how and when to feed and I over fed poor Matthew (100mls every 2 hours) he had reflux because of it). I had so much patience with my girls I feel I dont have this time round.(but thats just me) .....Would you have been so clucky if you hadn't of gone to the appointments with your sister??? I might have it a bit easier as my hubby is 30 so I can say ....take Matthew and do such and such....as it is his first he is happy to do that.....you guys have been there done that....I dont mean to sound so negative and please forgive me if I do ...I'm just giving you my opinion for whats its worth.....hope that helps in a way....Shaz x

Hi mumx3.

I have just had DD whos 10 months after a 15 yr gap! I have a son whos 25 and another whos 16 and they all love each other tremendously! DD has brought so much love into this house I cherish every day with her. We are even currently trying for one more right now.
I wont lie it is harder, mostly those sleepless nights but that smile when I wake and go to get her makes every bit of it worthwhile.

If you feel that you want to and so does hubby then why not? Go with what you feel hun
I wish you the best no matter what choice you make xxx
