View Full Version : Toilet Training Question??
For the last 3 days my 18mth DD has come up to me and said poo-poo and hit her nappy and a few minutes later she does a poo. Now I know this is a obvious sign to try to TT but is she really ready or do they go through this stage,I did try her on the potty about 1 month ago and she screamed, but now she seems to know when poo is about to come.
Fill me with your wisdom oh fellow bub-Huber's:p
I would say try again if she knows when she needs to go. My DS got interested in toliet training by seeing a little friend of his use the potty. And he ended up being easy to train, was finished at 2, except for night nappies. Good luck :)

I think you might as well give it a try, you have nothing to lose. Just don't push her at it and just stay positive so that she doesn't associate the potty with something bad.
Hi Nikki
My little one has started to do this too. But, sometimes she says it 10 times a day!! So i'm constantly checking her nappy but there's no poos! Well, there is usually one a day, but not 10!
I've been meaning to start her on the potty, but not sure how she'll go....looks like we could be spending a lot of time waiting for the mystery poo!
I will let you know how we go - i guess we can only give it a go at this stage - and I will check in for some updates on how Lilla's going....
good luck! :)

Hi,
My DS started doing that around 14months of age so I started introducing the potty.
I found he was great with the no.2's (TMI coz he could feel it coming sorry:o) but with no.1's he still (5 months later) isnt really ready coz by the time he tells me its coming its too late iykwim.
Try your little one and see how she goes:)
If shes not ready then wait a bit.
