Hi all,

Just curious as to how many formula bottles your bubs had at 1 year old?

WE are starting to mix 1-2 bottles a day with junior milk to get her onto milk but not sure how many bottles we should give her?

I stopped giving bottles when my son turned 1. I suppose its up to you and if you think she needs it or not. If it helps her relax at night. Why not??

True. She definitely wants her morning bottle and night bottle but isn't fussed during the day if she drinks enough water or apple juice.

Maybe even see how she goes with the milk in a cup?

Hi Girls.

My son Riley weaned himself off the formula a couple of weeks ago (he's 11months now), and now only has a big bottle of formula in the morning after he's woken up. Any other time he gets the full cows milk and/or water. The only other time he might get a bottle of formula is when he's not eaten welll during the day, so at least he has a "full" tummy when he goes to bed...

Hope this helps

I don't beleive that there is a right amount of bottles per day. Listen to what your child wants. If she is happy to go without a bottle today then great but if she wants one tomorrow then thats great too. Each baby is different in every way.
My 16 month old son is still having 3 bottles of milk a day. He is on perscription formula. He would happily go without one of those but I'm not really fussed - if he doesn't want it he doesn't get it.
I will probably get him off the bottle in the next few months - not something I'm stressing about though.
I remember reading somewhere awhile back though that you shouldn't give babies more than 600mls of cows milk a day.

Helloo... here's my two bobs worth :D

Cj was only having 2 bottles by age 1. One in the morning when he woke up & one 1/2 before tea at night time.
He's nearlly 2 & still has the same routine. We had him drinking from a sippy cup until Ella went onto bottles... now he wants bottles again too :o Ah well, thats ok with me coz there has been a lot of change in our house for the poor kid in the past few months. He'll be fine!! :D
