First - sorry I can't spell!!

Second - Has anyone been to a Paedeatric dentist (sp.:o )... DD1 is 3 and I'd like her to see a dentist - I wondered if one of these would be less scary for her? There's one at Chermside in Brissy has anyone been there? Is it really any different and worth the effort?

Taa....

Hi Jessica - I just took DS (he's 2 in Jau) to our normal dentist. As long as you tell them that it's a small child, they'll maybe get the hygenist to see her before the dentist comes in. They should be used to young kids.

From what they told me and from DS's visit, they dont really do anything... it's all about getting them comfortable in the chair and going to the dentist. It's really a check up - a look in the mouth.

(FYI- DS actually had decay from falling asleep with milk in his mouth and they cant do anything about it cause he's too young for anesthetic to do any work...)

Good luck - maybe get her ready for it: "Open your mouth like a big crocidile- roaaaarr", "what does a tiger do? Roooarr", etc, etc :D

Hi Jessica,

We take out DD to that dentist and I couldnt reccommend her highly enough.

DD had originally gone to a "dental van" thing and they had absolutly terrified her, we then went to a normal dentist and they were fine but couldnt deal with her issues.

It is expensive though, but it's definatley worth it if the child is really scared or has medical issues etc they are just awesome!
