Hi
Just wondering what the difference is between a stroller and a pram?
I have a 3 wheeler and sometimes call it a stroller and other times call it a pram so just want to know what the difference is.
Thanks
Natalie
For me a pram is where the baby is laying flat like in a bassinet and a stroller is more of a seat which can be adjusted.
I think of a pram as the baby facing towards you also. For me in a stroller the baby will be facing outwards as well as more upright.
Aha - but then you can get confused with the convertible ones...
We have a Bertini Steerable Stroller - when we first started using it, we had all sorts of inserts to pad it out for a newborn, and I always call it a pram. It reclines flat, but also sits upright.
Strollers are generally more lightweight - smaller wheels and as far as I can tell, they are a modern invention as opposed to the perambulator (pram for short) which has been around for years.
I have bought the quinny buzz and it comes with the seat which is the stroller bit and then as an extra bought the bassinet which makes it to a pram, orrrrr maybe a pram is one of those huge things with big wheels lol

I ended up buying a Bertini three wheel Jogger (I think that was the type) It came with endless amount of inserts for new borns. It was laid back most of the time but did sit up. Morgan faced away from me. I was told this pram/stroller would last the years but I found it a bit too big and bulky and when I sat him up he wasn't covered from the sun anymore.
I have now invested in a four wheel Steelcraft Stroller... it's a dream... lightweight and easy to steer. I have given my origianal one to my mother in law so she can use it on the nights she takes Morgan.
Most of them are convertible these days.. I almost wish I had held off buying a pram until he was born... take him in and try it out for size....
