I bought a baby bath seat from Spotlight this afternoon and we had our first go tonight. Works a treat  . My DS is enormous (10kg) and we were struggling to find a way to bath him. The baby bath seat is like a plastic legless chair that will sit him upright in the bath ('cos he can't do that yet). The only drawback is that you can't wash his bum.

Unfortunately he might grow out of it very soon, there wasn't a lot of growing room for his leggies. :banghead:

Is it a lay back one or is it the round sit up one ( mine is blue) ???

I have both seats.

I used to lean him forward and wash his bottom in the first seat until 8 mths and when he could support himself he went into the sitting up one with suction caps on the bottom. now he is one he is unsupported in the bat and quite happy to move around.
For us it was a graduation process to mainly keep him safei in the bath, as I can't really bend into the bath.

It's a semi-circle sit up one with suction cups on the bottom. It means we can bath him without one of us getting in the bath which then makes it a 2 person job (well 3 if you count bub).

Yep that's the one I had for a while until he wanted to sit up himself. I have a white one and it fit in the baby bath that's sits on top of the bath, I then didnt' ahve to reach into the bath and break my back. Once he got too long and I had to bath my two boys together I bought this round one that spins it allowed the 1 yr old to be bathed with the 3 yr old without toppling over.
