Hi everyone!

What kinda car do you drive?

We are looking at buying a new (used) car and would like some feedback from other people about what they drive and the good and the bad points about the vehicles.

We aren't looking at Magnas, Holdens or Fords as we want something fairly economical and cheapish to run.

We are opened to all ideas as long as it has enough room for a 3-wheeler jogger pram (and maybe groceries) and 2 car seats.

Thanks for your help

We have several cars.

Ford Fairmont - About 640k's to the tank, about $80 to fill. Very good family car, nothing to complain about at all! Its been fantastic and very reliable!

Ford Escort - Cheap to run, and repair, but pretty small as a family car. Its not really practical.

Toyota Hilux - Dual Cab - Great 4wd car, fairly cheap to run, but big, slow, and hard to park! :)

One of the best cars we've ever owned in the form of a sedan was a Hyundai Sonata - cheap to run, smooth to drive, nice an spacious, roomy boot.

My FIL is the southern manager for Hunters and he's always on the go every day with a car full of supplies. Also, his company upgrades his work car (also a Sonata) every 3 years and for the last 10 years out of all the cars he could choose, he's gone with a Sonata.

Nothing bad to say about it!
I'll keep thinking.

I've got a Toyota Corolla Seca (1990) and it's a really good car. I've had mine for 2 years and never had a problem with it except for the basics (new tires, service, tune up).
They are cheap to run (about $45 to fill up) and nice to drive.
I've got 2 car seats in mine plus a pram in the boot and still have heaps of room for bags and stuff when I go shopping.

With the amount of cars that I've had I would have to say that this one is the best along with my Kia Mentor.

We are thinking about getting a new car so my partner can have mine for work. I was looking at a Hyundai Lantra Sportswagon. The best thing with them is they aren't as big as a station wagon but you've got heaps of room in them and they run really well.

we own a Hyundai Lantra, I wouldnt recomend them for a three wheeler pram, we had to take the front wheel of our pram every time we wanted to fit it in the boot, it was really hard work for something simple.
My dad has a toyota camry, he says it's a good family size car, not sure how it is on petrol, but he's not the richest man in Tazzy and he doesnt complain about the price to fill it up. maybe it's worth a look?
