In light of the success of Jessies suggestion of the peg apron does anyone else have any handy hints that have made life easier.

I bought a big piece of plastic that I place under the highchairs so that if DD or DS drop anything I can pick it up and give it back to them. After meal time I can pick it up and shake it out, wipe it over and its ready to go again for the next meal. The floor is much cleaner now too. You can get it on a roll and buy it by the metre from Spotlight.

I was having a problem with toast crumbs getting in under the seat on DD's highchair,so I put a cover (I use an old muslin wrap) over the chair pad on the highchair,it stops crumbs etc from dropping into the cracks, and then you just shake it out.:)

There was a thread about this a while ago...I think it was titled 'short cuts...'?
The best idea/short cut I heard was to feed baby in the bath if you're running late...that way two jobs are done at once...and no mess to clean up afterwards... that idea is sheer brilliance!!!:yelclap:

I remember trying DD on new fruits whilst she was in the bath. Things like mango etc... so there wasn't too much stickiness happening.

Something I have only started doing with Hamish-instead of putting his nappies in a bucket to soak, I keep a tub under the change table for the days supple of dirty ones and at the end of the day I scrape them off and put them all in the machine on a hot, soak cycle. This way they get agitated for about two hours on and off and are completely spotless without me sticking my hands in pooey water. In the morning I hang them out on the line.
