If you are interested in politics, lateline is always a good watch. It is always at it’s best on Friday evenings though, weekend looming, I don’t know. You tend to get a good program on a Friday nigbt, in no small part to Virginia Triolli. She makes them all work for their money,

Anyway, it was a very good program tonight. Tony Burke will be a star on the political scene, he was superb, in my opinion obviously. A clever man, a normal man as well, came across very well. Alexander Downer had a few funny moments, and it may be my partisanship, but just sounded like rhetoric.

Our TV is almost permantly on the ABC. I seem to catch Lateline most nights. After 1 week i was feeling overloded with the election campaign on the commercial networks. This show offers an insight ALL voters should see.

Well I think so to. You just do not seem to get the quality on the commercial channels. I love Insiders on Sunday mornngs as well, you see a real range of the commentariat from both sides, and quality middle ground journalists as well, a highlight of our week.

It will be even better in the next election when I will probably get to vote.

I love Lateline! Excellent coverage of all sides, as you say MariaO. No 'spin'.
