View Full Version : Know a good toddler book???
Can anyone recommend a good book on raising toddlers? Especially interested in one that includes information about introducing a new baby into the family.
Thanks,
Kylie. :)
I have found "The Mighty Toddler" by Robin Barker very useful and she covers introducing a new baby quite well. (well - we took her advice and so far they like each other!) :D

Hi Kylie,
I recently purchased a book called "Toddler Taming" by Dr Christopher Green. It is a very down-to-earth book that helps us to not only deal with our little toddlers effectively but helps us understand things from their point of view as well. I think that this is what makes the book very effective. It has a section in it on how best to introduce a new baby into the family that makes perfect sense. I hope the tips and ideas work as I will be trying them out in two weeks!!!
The book also deals with behaviour, discipline, trantrums, toileting, sleep problems, mealtimes, playgroups and preschool, working mothers and lots more.
I can highly recommend it. I have found life so much easier with my little man since reading this book. It has enabled me to see things from his point of view a lot more clearly and I think we have an even stronger connection now.
:)
I liked the Secret of Happy Children by Steve and Sharon Biddulph (i think it was both, might have only been Steve). It is Australian and very easy to read.
DOn't know if it had anything about introducing a new baby.
Good luck!

We use Kaz Cooke's Kidwrangling as well.
Both are Australian, and very funny and down to earth.
