Hot Rinse Question

If you do a hot rinse and spin with just water and nappies, is it really necessary to wash them again with a small amount of detergent? Or is the hot rinse enough?

I think it would depend on how long the rinse went for. Ideally it would need 2 rinses - 1st to get rid of the wee/poo, and the 2nd to makes sure all residues were gone.

The detergent is just to help open up the fibres of the nappy and to allowing the water to get in. Not much is needed because nappies don't really get dirty (as in dirt).
