View Full Version : Skin allergy & sunscreen

My little guy has quite sensitive skin so he reacts to much of the chemicals his skin comes in contact with. I've managed to find products for around the home that he doesn't react to but I would like to know if there is any thing such as natural sunscreen. My son is allergic to even the "sensitive skin formula for toddlers" so I'm wondering if he'd do better with something with only natural ingredients?

It's a long shot but fingers crossed.

Have you tried a 'baby' sunscreen. I found a roll on Banaba Boat Baby Milk the other day from Foodland.

Im back. Have you tried Jurlique? I only use this herbal brand on my DD. It helped clear up her excema. They have listed a the ingredents:

I am pretty sure hammonds have a sunscreen i know that i usually use plain baby sunscreen on dd but with ds i have used the hammonds and his fine they both have really bad excema that flairs up at everything. These did cause a minor irritation, meaning very faint rash but it didnt both them, but compared to others it was nothing

I use UV Natural Baby, it is all natural ingredients and works well..... Its a little on the expensive side..but works really well!

Thanks for the replies!

Price isn't an object when it comes to my boy. He's got very fair skin so he'll burn so fast if I don't protect the skin but if I use even the baby formula I'm using his skin turns hot and a rash forms.

Cheezelz - Wherebouts in Canada? It will be a lovely time of year. Where I'm from (near Toronto) they don't get snow until December. Out west they get snow earlier though. Enjoy your trip!

I have tried the Jurlique one on my girls - it was better than the sensitive toddler ones, but Soleo Organic do one that is better again. You can buy it online from a few different stores. I get mine from Ecobabe.
