Refuses to wee in potty or toilet ...

Ok so we have been TT well ok not really TT but letting Boof go at his own pace now for a few weeks.

We started with every afternoon allowing nappy free time while he was outside which meant he just wee'ed on the ground cause he refused to use the potty or toilet.

Now that its been warmer & he has been more anxious about being wet in his nappies etc we have him in undies most of the day. But again he refuses to wee on the potty or toilet & he isnt even wetting the nappy he uses at nap time.

We take him every 30mins as well as asking him whether he needs to go which he always replies that he doesnt. He isnt afraid of the toilet or potty as he is excited to use them at the 30min intervals the thing is he wont wee then !

He isnt having lots of accidents because he is now holding on for hours. So instead of little accidents here & there we are having huge messes late morning & late afternoon but no matter what he wont wee for us !

We try encouragement with stickers etc but that hasnt worked. He adores his undies & screams when its time for a nappy.

Am i doing something wrong ?

I just went through the same thing with my DD. Then Last week it just clicked. She just did it and kept doing it and them number 2s and then she said no mummy when I went to put a nappy on her and chucked it in the bin. Your not doing anything wrong. He may just not be quiet ready. Try incentives like stamps ands stickers if he actually does a wee in the toliet.
Oh isnt toliet training fun.

I was so worried and I would think omg when will she get it. The toliet training thing just kept going on and on and on and then Bang, out of the blue it just happened, so dont worry eventually it will happen.

Chloe was doing the same, so I went cold turkey, no undies, nothing! It's amazing, the first day she started weeing in the toilet, she loves her undies too but I told her that Thomas the tank didn' t like being weed or pooed on and that he would cry if she weed or pooed on him :devil6: (so would the monkeys and pink hearts,etc :rolleyes: ) Yes we had accidents but since yesterday she is going to the toilet 90% of the time. Maybe try saying to your dp loudly that boof does wee wees and poo poos on the toilet now, he's a big boy :yes:

Also maybe try using the potty or toilet, not both as this may be confusing him. this is grose but if he poos, grab the poo with a tissue and place it in the loo , flush it and say bye bye poo poo (dd loves this:rolleyes: )!!Also when i leave her be she is more likely to do her business, i'll say, im just checking on your sister brb! i guess its less pressure on them to perform infront of us, after all we all go to the loo in private!

ETA: if she does wet or soil her undies she goes all bare until she uses the toilet then a new pair comes on!

Lets hope he realises that we wee on the toilet not the floor soon enough lol.

MJ would either hold it or just do it in undies also.........so bare bum it was.
