Kind of new...

I posted a while ago about how I was soon moving to Oz... well... we're here now!

We arrived late on 13 Feb and I have to say, the first couple of weeks have been hellish... mainly because I was stressing BIG TIME about where we were going to live - DH's new job have put us in a flat for a month but we have to be out on 11 March.

BUT, yesterday, we got the OK on a really nice flat in Cremorne, so I'm starting to relax a bit today.

I went for my first trip on the bus today - just from North Sydney into the CBD... not the most fun in the world but I've "done" it so feel I can do pretty much anything now :D

So... just wanted to say Hi and see if anyone knows WHERE I should post on here lol.. so many boards, haven't got the foggiest!

Oh, and if anyone can suggest things for a SAHM of a 2yr old to do in Cremorne, I'd be very grateful :)

Welcome to the country and back to the forum!

In terms of where to post - have a look around and see what takes your fancy! (I am a fan of the "new posts" button in this regard.)

For things in your area have you looked at the bubhub home page and checked out the "lounges"? They are new and are a great way to find info about your area and what is available for a child the age of yours.

i moved to Melbourne 2 years ago from manchester england..we lived in a flat in the city for the 1st 6 weeks :banghead:

It was horrible in a new country....city with 2 young children so i sympethise with you!

We are now settled and happy..if you need someone to talk to to get you through the dark day ( there will be some!)...just mail me back.

Hope you ok..my sil lives in syd so i have been there its a bloody busy place for a new comer! so you are doing well!
