I'm seriously considering switching from disposable to cloth, and like the look of the Eenee nappies. We live in an apartment and don't have an outside clothes line (aren't even allowed to put clothes horse out on terrace because of Body Corporate Rules)....but I would still like to use cloth inserts instead of the disposable/degradable ones. I even managed to get DH interested (had to have his ok as he does the washing).

Anyway, what are the pros and cons of the Eenee nappies in your experiences?

Are there any MCN types that I should know about that would suit my situation? I've started to do a bit of research but am a bit overwhelmed by the information available and just can't decide which ones are best for us.

Thanks! :)

Both of those threads should have enough info regarding Eenees for you :)

There are a few BH devoted Eenee users, such as OM, who will be able to help you out more if the above threads can't.

I'm another Eenees user along with other various MCN's.

The thing I love about Eenees is that I can throw in a terry flat which is just folded into a rectangle pad & it's ready to go ! Much easier to use when at home & you don't want to stuff around with folding nappies ( i'm lazy :o )

Can't say i'm a huge fan of them when out & about as I much prefer pockets or AIO's cause they last longer iykwim.

Anyways if you need anymore info ask away :D

Hi allyoo,

Just wondering, what are pocket nappies? Also, what are wool soakers used for?

Thanks! :)

OzCloth Nappies (http://www.ozclothnappies.org/info.html) has information on all of the MCN.

There are Fitted, Pocket, AIO and AI2 nappies. Have a quick look in the above link and they'll give you the run down on each of them :)

Wool soakers are used over nappies that need a cover - flats, prefolds and fitted nappies.

Woollies need to be lanolised to make them waterproof (lanolising is extremely easy and only needs to be done every 6 weeks or so). They are a low maintenance cover, warm in winter/cool in summer, and are a breathable cover.
