I am currently on CD 34 of a usual 30-31 day cycle. I have tested several times over the last week with fmu (oh and during the day, i'll be honest I have turned in a bit of a poas addict). I had a couple of faint bfp on cd 30 & 31 and then another really really faint one today (but being honest again it could be wishful thinking, although dh confirmed he could see the lines and he is quite scepital about faint bfp - we have been trying for quite a long time). So my symptons are as follows:
- Boobs, swollen, sore, dark red nipples, veins everywhere. Big blue ones runnning this way & that way, lot's of spider veins.
- A little nausa, but I usually get a little bit anyway.
- Insomnia, I am the opposite of being tired. I am wide awake at 4.30am every morning. Cooked pumpkin soup this morning!!!
- funny cramping pains in stomach. Alot higher, not as low as usual af pains.
- blocked nose
So I am guessing I am about 17dpo. Did it take anyone else this long to get a bfp?? I can't get into dr's until monday afternoon for a bt & it's driving me crazy!!!!

I have heard of women not getting a bfp until they are well overdue for af. Your signs sound good!
Hope you are pregnant!

Sounds like you have some very good signs there!! I got my fist positive albeit feint line on DPO12 then they got progressively darker. I have also heard of people not getting a line until much later. This of course depends on when in the momth you ovulated (12 past ovulation is almost the earliest you can detact HGC hormone) also the time of the day and how much you drink. If you drink a lot, then your urine would be diluted etc.
Having said all that, as a lot of wise bubhubbers told me when I had feint lines on the test! A line is a line m'dear!! I think congratulations are inorder :-) I am just wondering how long it took for the Pos line to come up? I did some poas tests the month before I was pg and even after leaving the test fro 24 hours there was o line. When I was PG, he line came up +ive within about 5 minutes and got progressively darker the longer I left it.
What I would suggest doing is getting a clearblue digital poas. They are great as they take the guesswork out of deciphering the line, they just say pregnant or not pregnant! This is what I did, I was so paranoid that I was getting my hopes up over an evaporation line, I went and bought a digital one - within 3 minutes the display read "pregnant" woohoo!!:smiliedance: Good luck!!

I am thinking I could have o'd later maybe cycle day 24?? But then the faint bfp on cd30 wouldn't work?? But the line came up in 2mins, too early for an evap line?? And the line is still on the test, my past expereince with evap lines is that they seem to vanish after awhile and just look like a dent on the stick. Ohhhhhh it's all getting a bit much!!!!
I might try clearblue over the weekend, it's about the only brand I haven't tried!!!
I drink ALOT and I have a very week bladder, I don't hold much in there for very long. So I am thinking that could be working against me??
Hello, thought Id add my two cents. are you testing with your first morning pee? they reckon that is the best time.
With my first pregnancy i was only 1 week over but my pregnancy test came up posiitve straight away. With my second pregnancy I was only 2 days late and it still came up positive straight away.
But if in doubt; try and try again.
Hope you are pregnant; it is the most exciting thing in the world!
Cheers, PMS

I agree - a line ( as long as it was done in the time frame) is a line!!:)
I would get a Clear Blue Digital - they are GREAT!! and will give you a definite yes or no straight up:)

We are going to give the active ttc a break for awhile, just see what happens.
