Is anyone else struggling with their changing body shape?? I thought I would really enjoy this time, but I just feel like a big, fat whale :gloomy:
My tummy is just fat looking and I feel like my thighs and bum (and arms and EVERYTHING) are just all big and yucky. Normally I would just get stuck into the running until I looked better, but I can't. My normal clothes are tight and look all wrong.
AND I am a bridesmaid in February, and I'm just so worried that I am going to look like enormous compared to the other girls (my gorgeous, tiny, fit friends).
Ok, I guess I am just feeling sorry for myself today.....
Thanks for reading!!!;)

:hugs: it normal to feel like this in the first trimester, I know I did...just when all your 'normal clothes' start to get tight and you know your pregnant but not many others do...When you start to show a lot, you will feel better (I did;) ) Then you start to feel really "pregnant" not just big and yucky...
Just keep doing a bit of excercise and you will feel so much better for it, emotionally and physically...this is all I can suggest as I know it helped me alot...
Congratulations on your pregnancy and I am sure you look just gorgeous and your "my gorgeous, tiny, fit friends" will be just sooooo jealous of you at the wedding cause you are growing a beautiful baby inside that Yummy Mummy belly!!!!:yelclap:

I can understand this.
Generally, the parts of my body that i am happy with have always been from my waist up. My hips, bum and legs are no good, they are literally 2-3 sizes bigger than my upper body. I have fat knees and ankles, even when I was at the bottom of my healthy weight range they still looked out of proportion. SO believe me when I say that my expanding waistline is DOING MY HEAD IN!!
Now I do just feel fat and can't hide it. Usually I would wear pants and emphasize the good parts... and I can't wear the fashion of the baby doll dresses (As tey are all short and show off my very chubby legs).
I just wish I had a proper belly already instead of just looking like I am really letting myself go!
ok. Enough of the whinging. I am so lucky to be pregnant.

I still have my wobbly bits from my first pregnancy 7 months ago LOL, so yes i feel extra "fat" this time around, even though i am not really. But i agree it is the whole my normal clothes are getting tight but i don't quite look pregnant yet thing going on.
Plus i am so sick of being nauseas, tired and Dp is sick of my grumpy moods too. (Poor thing). ROLL ON 12 WEEKS!

I totally agree with kangaskippy! The first (approx) 20 weeks are the worst where you just feel and look like you've just had too much to eat. But when the baby bump starts to become noticable everything else starts to look better by comparison. I've seen some gorgeous bridesmaid dresses (by Szabo and other designers) that really flatter the pregnant bod. The best part about the 2nd & 3rd trimester is that you start to look really radiant. This glow that other people really notice. I'm sure you'll look just fabulous at the wedding!

I had a May baby - summer is hard, but celebrate being pregnant, try not to think of it in negative terms and think of the gorgeous baby you are growing!
I loved being pregnant
