had a bleed

don't know if anyone else in this thread has ever had a bleed but i've had one today. went to the dr had blood in my urine when i had a urinyl test strip, just a small amount. my cervix is closed but not closed tight. haven't had any pain or cramping and its mainly only when i wipe. bright red, now its brown (the last two trips to the toilet). had bloods but dont get results till morn...it has been a long day trying to take it easy im pretty much 5 weeks pregnant so only early days and my hcg results when i got them done at 4 weeks 2 days was only 31 but the progesterone levels were high enough to eliminate the chance of miscarriage, but im not convinced. :fingerscrossed: everything is ok

no i rang again this morning when the dr said they would be there by and they are not. my dr doesnt actually work today but said she would access it from home and it would come thru to the surgery. i rang again after lunch and still not there. so receptionist said to call after 2 again :hair: i just want to know whats going on. i am only really spotting and when i wipe and its now brown. seems to be only read after sleeping, like when i woke this morning and yesterday morning and i had a nap yesterday arvo. still some hope i hope anyway...will let you's know thats for sure!! thanks

Oh honey I hope everything is ok!! :hugs: Keep us posted on whats happening. Its probably just a little bit of a bleed for no reason. Apparently its quite common in early pregnancy and bubs will be fine!!

I really hope everything is ok. I had some bleeding when I was 9 weeks and it was almost exactly like you are describing. It only showed when I wiped.

I have read in a couple of magazines that apparently 3 out of 4 pregnant women report some bleeding within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy that never results into something more serious.

Most of the time it is something unexplainable.

my friend had lots of bleeding with her bub..not being rude but what colour is the blood ? if its brown its dead blood nothing really to worry about..thats what my friend had and then they found a blood clot near the baby everything is good now though...she was about 2-3 mths along wen this happened

could it just be a normal peroid? ive heard some ppl have them through out pregnancy..

Hi Shannysmum - I'm really sorry that you're having to go through this. I m/c my last bub at 6 weeks and whilst it took a while to really start (a few days of heavy spotting), once it started, it was just like a heavy AF.

They suggest you don't use tampons during the time due to potential infection and if you get any major pain (more than AF or a little more than AF-style cramping), then see a Dr.

The bleeding went for about a week. Look after yourself as best as you can.:hugs:

i'm getting cranky as i rang the dr again this morn and still no results, i am so frustrated. although in myself i know i am losing this pregnancy, the blood tests will confirm it for me so i can get on with it knowing what the result will be.

do you think i'd have to wait few cycles still before ttc even though i'm so early on in the pregnancy???

I thought you had to wait 1 cycle as thats what my Dr told me. But I have read other hubbers say 3 cycles. Maybe depend on your Dr? Even though your body have recover quickly from the process, mentally it can take a while to get over it. It can be a very exhausting time so take it easy.

About the waiting thing... I think it just depends... I think they ask you to wait so YOU can recover mentally. And they can then have an AF to go by when working out your due date. If you get pregnant without having an AF after the MC then its difficult to know how far along you are... (well difficult if you dont know your body. if you know when you ovulated then there is no problem)

well i lost my pgcy...my hcg had only gone to 39 and progest. dropped. it wasn't a horrendous experience really just like a heavy af. did another bt fri and came back at 7 so one to go to make sure all goes.
i'm fine about it all, just have to try again.
