Hi all. My 3 year old DD sleep walks and sleep wakes occasionally. Does any one else go through this?

The first time she did this was a couple of months ago, in the early hours off the morning, and i woke to hear her crying and when i got up and turned on the hall light she was not in her bed, but walking back up the stairs carrying her pillow, teddy and water bottle!

Another time i found her coming out of the main bathroom, crying. She occasionly "wakes" up & sits bolt up right in her bed facing the wall.

Last week, i heard what sounded like someone walking up stairs, but because we live in a town house i assumed it was next door cus bubby was in bed asleep. Any way my DF went upstairs to have a shower but came back down and said to come here. I went up the stairs and there was my DD laying on the very top step fast asleep on her belly. I said to my DF lucky he came up stairs when he did, and as i said that ( i was sitting on the step below her) she rolled over towards me! so if i wasnt there she would have rolled down the steps!!!

Any way i picked her up to go to her bed, and she said no, so i went to put her in with her dad and she said no, so i took her down stairs to lay on the couch with me. when i laid her down she said "wheres my fork" "I need my fork" i said i dont know and the she said "nana i need my fork" rolled over then went back to sleep! So i then knew that she wasnt at all awake!

yes i have 2 kids like this...
my DD is a sleep talker/screamer and my DS is a sleep walker.

both has has me worried on occasions but mostly now, that im used to it. it is usually hilarious. the things they say and are so sure about it! till they wake up half way through it and have that look on their face of "what the?!"

hehe love it!

i do worry sometimes that my lil sleepwalker will walk out the door (never has) but i have found him in the morning sleeping in some weird places of the house

My 31 yr old does this  One night he sat bolt upright in bed, waking me up, looked around really agitated, I said "whats the matter?" he says "The cows!! I have to let the cows out!!!" And he got out of bed, walked outside (our room has a door to outside) and walked around in the backyard for about 5 minutes..... In his jocks!!!!  He came back inside with a really strange look on his face, got back into bed and was fast asleep immediately!! I have never laughed so hard in my life!!!

My DH talks about cows too:laughing: Our neighbours cows come into our yard to keep our grass down and one night DH woke up and ran out onto the street in his jocks coz he thought the cows were on the road. He checked the gates then came back in and was asleep as soon as he lay down and didn't remember anything in the morning  He was pretty embarassed when I told him the next morning coz although we live on 2.5acres we are in the middle of suburbia with a pub 2mins down the road and have cars/people going past at all hours every night.

My 3yr old also does strange things in his sleep. Mostly just wanders around the house then goes back to his bed. One night I didn't hear him get up but we heard a scream from the lounge room and DS running up the hallway crying coz there was a shark in the lounge room:laughing:

ROFLMAO Thats is soooooo hilarous, had me in stiches of laughter reading that!!!! My DF sleep talks alot as well, some things just make no sence and all but he responds to me when i ask him what he is doing.

I used to sleep walk to exspecially when i got really hot and sweaty, i walked out the front door and on to the foot path, luckily my mother heard the front door and was up following me. My aunty also found me in the medicine cupboard looking through the tablets and stuff, i had to get a chair from the kitchen and drag it into the bathroom to reach the cupboard. Apparently i had this "condition" and needed some medication (well thats what i said any way)
