(please be kind. I am a recent convert. My first post ever in this section :o)

Ok, so I know that's a bad thing. One does not use fabric softeners with MCN. Got it :)

I must admit though, for the rest of my regular laundry I actually like the smell fabric softeners leave on the washing!

I remember ages ago on some show like Burkes Backyard that people sometimes dry hankies and the like by laying them out over a lavender bush - leaves a pretty smell.

Can I do the same with MCN? Or are they any other pretty smelling things to do that are ok?

You could use a few small drops of essential oil in your wash :)

But hanging over a lavender bus sounds great - spesh if it's in direct sunlight too!

Just be careful if you're still using softener in other loads as the residue stays in the machine and will still get on your nappies

I really wouldn't recommend anything. Your nappies are going to smell like wee or poo anyway, and the only time you'll actually enjoy sniffing them is as soon as they're taken off the line - not worth it I think!

Agree with both comments - essential oil will work but lavender bush sounds really good!

They aren't

If it's a once in a while freshen up it's fine, but definitely not recommended for regular use.
