Using creams are fine, just make sure you use a liner!

Yep true, but with a disposable liner it is okay. I have heard that natural, aqueous based creams are okay - stay away from petroleum based creams as they don't wash off easily.

I don't use them without a liner.

They're kinda oily... they don't wash off...so they kinda just wreck MCNs... but using a liner works well... you can just chuck it away...

I've found that too, Tracey - when we use the Eenees flushable liners, it seems fine to use cream. If not, then we just use cornstarch.

HTH :)

I use pure cornflour, which believe it or not works wonders. I have also heard the curash powder is good and I'm pretty sure paw paw ointment is ok to use with your nappies.

I just bought some Natures Child Bottom Balm from the Baby Expo. They didn't seem exactly sure if you could use this with MCN's. Does anyone know?

(Sorry to hijack your thread; I am unsure about this too:confused: )

I find if you can wash it off your hands easily its fine for occasional use and if it's tough to wash completely off (like zinc cream or petroleum jelly) then only use with a flushable or easily replaced liner
