I like a Swaddlebees AIO/pocket (it's both... it's got microfibre sewn in, but you can add a Swaddlebees hemp insert too).

It's very trim, and lasts a lot longer than Ittis do (IMO).

You can find them at The Wee Wuns (might be able to find them other places too).l

I like taking show off nappies like bubblebubs, itti bittis and berry plush ones.

I always have a couple of magic all's as well.

I only use pockets throughout the day, whether we're home or out and about. I personally don't think they're any extra work than a sposie, but then again I haven't tried AIOs or anything except a pocket

For my 2 year old I use BumGenius pockets (under his shorts). For my 3 month old I use show off minky nappies such as bubblebubs and blueberry (no shorts). :)

I think Lollie is right,

the only rule about MCN's when going out is make sure they are fabulous!

I get anxious if DS's nappy is very trim, especially when we go out somewhere. I like a big reassuring bum. So pockets, fitteds, whatever takes my fancy, really, although pockets are easier to deal with when you're out and about.

DD wears GK's and they fit fine under her clothes. She absolutely does not have a bum so that helps

if you want a trim yet SPUNKY nappy, cant go past a wild child day dreamer.

super duper trim and super duper, DUPER absorbent. it is good for outings as it lasts amazingly with not a chance of a leak or wicking

Yep, the cuter the better. I'm not a big fan of super trim nappys and I don't mind having to change often if required.

i think toadlet hasd the biggest giantest fat bum around.. and then there is his nappy ontop of that!

he doesnt wear trousers (only once I think). Just t shirt and nappy so I dont have to worry about a trim nappy.
