Hi

Can anyone please give me some advice? My huband and 18mth old daughter are moving to Perth next year from Ireland, we don't know anybody and I am looking for advice on areas to live and mother and toddler groups etc. I like the Joondalup area? I suppose I am looking for reassurance that we are doing the right thing not that anyone can make our minds up for us! Is Perth a good place to raise a family? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We moved to Perth 3 years ago, we were living in Sydney prior to that. Its a very family orientated place, I didn't like it when we moved here, but that's because we were a couple, but once we had our daughter we found it was more suitable for us e.g.more space, not so crowded. I really love it now.

Hi,

I don't live in Perth, but a very close friend of mine moved to the Joondalup area last year and she just adores it. She has 2 boys (4yrs & 3yrs) and said that it's the perfect place to raise them. They are close to all amenities and the beach and have no regrets about leaving NZ to move to Perth.

I'm sure you'll be fine too.

Hi,
We have just moved to Perth, i'm orginally from Tippreary, but lived in London for the past 5 years. I have a 2 year old boy and it is a great place for kids.
We are currently living near the City but we will be moving to Iluka(near Joondalup) next year. I love it up there, beautiful beachs and parks.
I'm finding it hard at the moment as my husband knows lots of people and i'm still finding my feet, but we will get there.
If you have any questions in particular let me know as i know how scary the thought of the move can be.
