Hey there... just wondering if it's normal to feel so much pressure in the lower abdomen. I have to spend long hours in front of the computer and I get the feeling I'm literally squeezing the baby. Seems to get better if I get up and walk or lay down for a while but then comes back if I sit again. Does this happen to everyone? So early? I wonder what will happen when I get really big!

Have you heard about Braxton Hicks contractions? there like a tightening, does it feel like your whole stomach is tightening. braxton hicks happen about this time even earlier is some woman and are normal there like fake contractions. Because they go away when u start moving ect. some days may be worse then others and they shouldnt be constant. like every 5mins for eg. if ur worried try and talk to your doc or midwife about it.

Hey there moonriver,Are you carrying really low. My sister in law who has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl Summer, carried low the entire time and felt(for most of the pregnancy) that the baby was going to just fall right out-she felt that she had to work hard and walk a certain way so as to make her comfortable and assure her the baby would come out hehehe. This was due to carrying so low. When she dropped she was just about carrying the baby between her knees.I think it depends on the way you are carrying. I am 7 months pregnant and my belly is really high, so high i was experiencing breathing diff.

Hey girls, thanks for the answers.

I think it is more related to carrying low, because I only notice this pressure when I bend over or sit down straight. In these two days I have changed positions and it seems to help. Today I got in the car and was almost laying down on the seat! My DH asked if I was comfy. Heck, yes :)
