View Full Version : Freezing biscuits and slices?

Hiya,
I have alot of christmas parties comming up and i'm also due for a baby 2 days before christmas, so while i have the energy now i want to make some lemon slice, white christmas and some hedgehog slice and was wandering how i go about making these and freezing ahead of time? also if anyone has a nice recipe for lemon slice can you please share :) tia.

I would say you can freeze them, What about making the biscuit dough now and freezing it ? That way you can just wack them in the oven when your ready.

White Xmas and Hedgehog slice can both be made a couple of months in advance and frozen.. my kids did this last year with no problems.
But it in a airtight container after cooling, or place in snap lock bags with the air removed.

You can freeze most biscuits and slices. Though you may get watery icing if you use icing sugar mix as opposed to pure icing sugar. I just freeze them in a hard sided container until frozen and then put them in zip lock bags and then into a box, so they don't get sqooshed in the chest freezer.
