View Full Version : Baby kicking in weird spots-help
I hope someone can assist me. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant.I feel that my little has started to kick alot lower that originally. I feel that he/she is in behind my pelvic bone and kicking towards my frond and back nether regions.I have started to worry that an arm or leg will pop out .I feel as though when he or she moves down there and its as though air is or may be coming out of my privat area. Its like a burp happening down there without any noice-but only when he/she kicks/punches me.Is this something to be worried about, or is this just my little one getting into place and moving a lot lower than i am used to-intern causing pressure????Shanz80

like what cheetah said, it is completly normal, you will find that bub will be kicking anywhere and everywhere..
Thank you both so much-you have put my mind at rest.I am not feeling pressure as though i need to go to the bathroom.More lilke when he/she does move down there that something may come out, not numbers 1s like air or part of the baby.I kno i know first time mummy panicing about crazy things but i would prefer to be safe then sorry.Anyone else who has experienced similar movements would love to hear from you.

Nothing can 'come out' until after the cervix is effaced and dilated - and this is a gradual process that happens over many hours and days, even weeks for some women. The cervix is 'plugged' and tightly closed at the moment to prevent just such a thing from happening - if only it were so easy that the baby just 'fell out!' :D
It must feel strange, but try not to stress - the baby's still got plenty of room in there, and is probably just trying it all out, turning around and kicking in odd places :)

On this issue mine has started to do the same sorry TMI i have wet knickers to the point im wearing a pad. i am worried coz i have had a letz should I be worried??
It really is so good to talk to mums who are or who have gone through the same things-its so reassuring.I was searching the web and found this(this is exactly what our little one-nicknamed Boo Boo is doing) Dad is a soccer player so by i think we have either socceroo either for the mens or womens team hehehehehThis is the best way i have found to put the feeling into words:Question and answerI am 25 weeks pregnant with my first child. She is quite an active baby and lately she has been kicking me very low. In fact, it feels like she is trying to kick through my cervix and into my vagina. This causes rather odd pressure/vibration feelings through the entire birth canal and vagina. Is there any way she could dislodge my mucous plug or stimulate labor, or is this just normal? Thanks!-Anonymous, CaliforniaA. Yes, it's annoying and painful at times, but quite normal. Your baby is probably sitting upright and you are feeling plenty of movement down below from the legs and feet. When she kicks directly at your cervix or bowels, you may suddenly suck in your breath with surprise or pain.During my second pregnancy, I remember feeling a sharp pressure/pain deep within my vagina that most resembled the feeling one gets during a pap smear. I knew from prior experience that it must be the baby pushing or punching at my cervix. There were other times when I felt like the baby might actually be closer to coming out of my butt than my vagina. One night, the baby had hiccups that I could actually feel in my rectum!I don't think you need to worry about your baby dislodging your mucous plug or stimulating labor. Your cervix should be pretty tightly sealed. It's meant to endure the trials and tribulations of the baby mambo.

I remember feeling movements like that. DS would jam his hands in his mouth (fully engaged at the time) and he would scratch at my hip bone. He liked doing that a lot! he would also toss and turn as if uncomfortable.
