I was told every 3mths by one chn...I think the packs say every 6weeks...I guess it depends on the type of teat you use.
You probably don't need to replace them at all unless bub is finding them to slow to drink from, or they are deteriorating...but thats kinda obvious...
The variflow ones I probably wouldn't bother replacing until they started looking a bit worn/damaged.
I know people who don't replace them at all...they just use a needle to make extra holes in the top to insrease the flow rate.

I was told every 3 months. I have had the same teats for DD1 since she was born, so about 6 months, I should probably change them so I might get the next size up ones.

Yeah the packs say every 6-7wks i think its a ploy to make us buy more :p
But was told by midwives & CHN every 3mths which is what we have done but you also need to keep an eye on them for cracking splitting etc.

I used mine for 3 months and have only just changed because I went to the next size. A bottle is gone in a far more reasonable time now and poor Ava doesn't get that suckcheek look from trying so hard.

They say three months, but I only really changed mine when they deteriorated (sp? brain not working today) or changed sizes.

I've used the variflow/cross-cut ones from day dot, and i only change them if they start to look worn, really cloudy or cracked etc.
