1 year old doesn't like Ergo?

Has anyone else experienced this?

I put my niece in the ergo yesterday for the first time - she has never been in a sling or baby carrier before and she absolutely hated it!! She cried and cried until we took her out of it!

It is probally because she has never been put in one. My babies like them only while they were very young, by 4 months old, they didn't reallylike it either. My boys at the age of one would have gone balistic if I had confined them to a sling....some kids just dont like them. :)

Were they in the front position or the rear position?
I would also assume that if they arent used to them then they probably wont end up liking them. The one we have with DD1 6 months old is great. I dont use it for long term use just to duck out into the shops (hour or so tops).
Its great cause they are designed to hold todlers too not just babies. Maybe they just need to get used to it.

i agree with 4boys2love some kids just dont like them, i think though if you start them early and they get used to it then its ok but when they are older its really no hope in trying!! I guess you could keep seeing how she goes but if its upsetting her its not really worth it

Even Sarah had to get used to her new ergo - and she's been a HAB baby her whole life! It took a few goes, but she absolutely loves it now.
