That don't cost a fortune?

We are really getting into the family stuff now the weather is warming up, can anyone recommend some things for us to do?

Events/Festivals/Zoos, anything that we can take our kidlets to that we want to go to!

We love going for day trips.
A drive up the east coast (stopping at a few wineries & Kate's Berry Farm! :D) with lunch in a park.
A walk up Russell Falls.
Flying kites at the cenotaph.
Going "window shopping" at Bunnings and letting the kids have a play in the play ground :D.
Fish and chips for lunch in the child friendly park at Sandy Bay Yaucht Club.
Visiting the train park in West Hobart.
Picnic lunch in a fully enclosed park in New Town/Lenah Valley (bring the bikes!)
Visiting various festivals that may be on.

Um. . . more to come as I think of them.

We went up to the Salmon Ponds just past New Norfolk last weekend for a sunday drive and it was really nice with the beautiful weather.

They have barbeque and picnic areas, a cafe/resturant and you can feed the fishies.

The down side is that alot of the area doesnt have any or adequate fencing to stop little-ones going for a swim/drown but if you have someone to keep an eye on then or they are in a pram/ on a harness they are fine, its ab-fab, beautiful english gardens.

We live out this way so in the summer time we head out to the Salmon Ponds a lot

We take a BBQ lunch and set up down near the river, and after lunch we all hop in the river so the kidlets can have a swim :smiliedance:
