Hi there,

we (Rainer 33, Sabine 32) just arrived from Germany and don't know anybody.
As we are expecting our first child in late January .... I do have not really a clue about how the "pregnancy and birth-thing" works here in Australia.
I have an Antenatal-Course at John James at the end of December ... but this date is far away. And, I am alone at home during the week - husband is busy at work. :(
At the moment I am looking for some groups to join (we live in Yarralumla) - does anybody have a tip for me?

Wish everybody a nice Sunday

Sabine

Your hospital runs ante-natal exercise classes - that is a good way to meet other mums who are due at the same time as you - and to get ready for the birth of your baby!

Welcome to Canberra - you have arrived at a lovely time of year!

Hi draught,

I was wondering that those classes are free of charge? I'm interested too.:)

I am not sure about cost for classes - it is a while since I had a baby in Canberra but if you ring the hospital they will be able to fill you in.

Hey all,

thanks for the prompt answers!

Kim, what's the meeting on Wednesday about? And at what time? - I have to plan because we have only 1 car .... and I have to play Taxi for Rainer :-).

Yep, the time is lovely. We just unpacked our bikes and made a trip through the neighborhood. But with almost 7 month I am unable to get uphill. It took me a long time ....!

Bye

Hey Sabine,

It was nice meeting you too and come along to the next meet once its been arranged!

Hope you enjoy your time in Canberra! I find it pretty boring to be honest. But if you like quiet places you'll love it here!

Take Care and speak soon,

Nadya

Hi Nadya,

I think Canberra is not that boring. You have to visit my hometown "KAARST" in Germany :) .
Did I get it right yesterday? You're from the UK and thinking about going back?

Liebe Grüße
Sabine
